Okay, so I’ve been grinding on League of Legends lately, specifically checking out this new Anima Squad Pass thing. Let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a ride, and I figured I’d share my experience with you all.
First off, I decided to actually buy the pass. Yeah, I shelled out some cash for it. I was kind of on the fence at first, but I figured I’m playing the game a ton anyway, so why not? It promised a bunch of rewards, and I was curious to see if it was worth it.
After purchasing, the first thing I noticed was that I got a nice chunk of these Anima Squad Tokens right off the bat, 200. These tokens are the key to unlocking all the goodies in the event shop. And so I started playing games, a lot of games. Every match, win or lose, you earn some tokens. But winning definitely speeds things up.
- I made it a point to play at least a few games every day.
- Some days were better than others, you know? Some days I was on fire, racking up wins and tokens like crazy.
- Other days, well, let’s just say my teammates weren’t always the best, haha.
As I played, I started leveling up the pass. Each level gets you something new. I unlocked a couple of mystery emotes pretty early on. They’re nothing special, but kind of fun to use in-game when I’m feeling it. Then I got some Blue Essence, which is always useful for unlocking new champions. I also managed to snag some Orange Essence, and I used that to upgrade some of the skin shards I had lying around.
Rewards
There are also these Orbs you can buy with the tokens. Each one gives you a random skin shard, and there’s a small chance to get a grab bag with even more stuff. I bought a few, but didn’t get anything too crazy, though.
Now, I’m still working my way through the pass. It goes up to level 50, and I’m not quite there yet. I did manage to get a Hextech Key, though. I’m saving that for a Masterwork Chest that I also unlocked. Hopefully, I’ll get something good from it!
The big thing I’m aiming for is the Mythic Essence. You get 25 of it by the end of the pass. That stuff is rare, and you can use it to unlock some really exclusive skins. I’ve got my eye on a few, so I’m grinding hard to get to level 50. I also unlocked 3 icons and 3 emotes. Those are quite cool and I equipped them instantly!
Overall, it’s been a pretty fun experience so far. It’s definitely added a new layer to the game for me. I feel like I have more of a goal now, other than just winning. I’m not sure if I’ll buy the next pass, but for this one, I think it was worth it. At least for me, since I play so much. If you’re a casual player, it might not be the best investment. But if you’re a hardcore LoL fan like me, you might want to check it out!
