Okay, so, I really wanted to get into this whole flower breeding thing in Animal Crossing. It sounded fun, you know? And I specifically had my eyes on getting some of those white mums. I heard they were kind of a rare flower and tricky to breed in the game, so I thought, why not give it a shot?
First things first, I had to get my hands on some mum seeds. I checked Nook’s Cranny, but they didn’t always have them, it is random. So, I made it a point to check every day. Sometimes they had red or yellow ones, but not always white. I also heard this guy Leif, the sloth, sometimes sells seeds when he visits the island. So whenever I saw him, I made a beeline for his little stall.

- Buying Seeds: Kept checking Nook’s Cranny and Leif for mum seeds.
After a few days of diligently checking, I finally scored some white mum seeds! I was so excited. I planted them in a nice little patch on my island, watered them every day, and just waited. It felt like forever, but eventually, they bloomed! I was super proud of my little white mum garden.
But then I thought, what if I could make even more white mums? I remembered reading something about cross-pollination, so I figured I’d try that. I planted some more white mums, and also some other colors nearby, hoping they’d mix. I wasn’t really sure how it all worked, but I watered them all like crazy and hoped for the best.
- Planting and Waiting: Planted the white mum seeds and patiently waited for them to bloom.
- Cross-Pollination Attempt: Planted more white mums and other colored mums together to try and breed more.
Honestly, it was a lot of trial and error. Sometimes I’d get new colors, which was cool, but not what I was going for. Other times, nothing new would grow at all. But I kept at it, planting and watering and hoping. And guess what? Eventually, I started seeing more white mums popping up! It wasn’t a ton, but it was definitely working. And it’s a good feeling.
- Trial and Error: Experimented with different combinations, sometimes getting new colors, sometimes nothing.
- Success: Eventually, I bred more white mums through cross-pollination.
So yeah, that’s my story of how I got white mums in Animal Crossing. It took some patience, some luck, and a whole lot of watering, but I did it! Now I have a nice little collection of them, and it all started with those first few seeds. It’s pretty satisfying, you know? If you’re thinking about trying to breed flowers in the game, I say go for it! It’s a fun little challenge.
