Okay, so, the other day I jumped into Sea of Thieves, all excited to set sail and hunt for some treasure. I had this grand plan to grab a bunch of voyages, you know, really make a night of it. But then, bam! I hit a wall.
I walked up to the merchant, ready to stock up on quests, and what do I see? This annoying message popping up: “I had a problem finding that.” Like, what does that even mean? I tried again, and again, and again. Same thing. I was getting seriously frustrated. Ten minutes I wasted trying to get a single voyage. It was not funny, not funny at all.

- I figured, maybe it was just me, maybe I was doing something wrong.
- So, I scoured the internet, looking for answers.
- Turns out, I wasn’t the only one with this problem.
Lots of other players were reporting the same issue, especially after some recent update. Some talked about deleting all their voyages and restarting the game. Others mentioned issues with payment options if you’re playing on an Xbox. Man, it was a mess.
I even stumbled upon some advice about checking the game files on Steam. You know, going to properties, then local files, and verifying the integrity of the game files. I did all that, crossing my fingers, hoping it would work. It felt like I was trying everything under the sun.
And then there was the whole network connection thing. Could it be my internet? Or maybe some weird firewall setting? I checked everything, even though my connection seemed fine. At this point, I was willing to try anything.
After what felt like hours, I finally managed to get a voyage. I’m still not sure what exactly fixed it. Maybe it was a combination of things, or maybe the game just decided to cooperate. Either way, it was a major headache. It’s a bummer, really, because I love Sea of Thieves, but this kind of thing just ruins the experience. It turns a fun adventure into a frustrating chore.
Just a heads up for any other pirates out there:
if you run into this issue, you’re not alone. Try the things I mentioned, and hopefully, you’ll have better luck than I did.
