Well, today I finally managed to get my hands on the Galarian Slowpoke in Pokémon Go, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience! I’ve been seeing all the buzz online about this special Pokémon, so I figured I’d give it a shot and document the whole process.
First off, I noticed the “A Very Slow Discovery” event was going on. Good timing, right? Apparently, this event makes it more likely to find these Galarian Slowpokes out in the wild. So, I fired up the app and started wandering around my neighborhood. For a while, nothing much happened. Just the usual Pidgeys and Rattatas. But hey, that’s part of the game, isn’t it?

Then, after about an hour of walking, I saw it! A Galarian Slowpoke popped up on my screen. It looked pretty different from the regular Slowpoke, with those yellow markings on its head and tail. Cool, huh? I tapped on it, threw a Great Ball just to be sure, and bam! Caught it on the first try. Beginner’s luck, maybe? Or perhaps it was my expert ball-throwing skills, who knows!
Now, the interesting part is what to do with it. I read online that you can evolve it into either a Galarian Slowbro or a Galarian Slowking. I already had a Galarian Slowbro from when I caught one at a friend’s house, I’ll save that story for later, so my goal was to get the Slowking. I will need to catch a bunch of Psychic-type Pokémon with the Galarian Slowpoke as my buddy. Easy peasy, right? I had to catch 30 to be exact, I will need to do this to evolve this guy into a Galarian Slowking.
- Find a good spot: I started walking around, looking for a good spot to catch some Pokémon.
- Catch ’em all: I started tapping on every Pokémon I saw, trying to catch them. It was like a mini-game within the game!
- Keep track: I made sure to keep track of how many Psychic-type Pokémon I caught.
It took a while, but I finally caught 30 Psychic-type Pokémon. Phew, that was a lot of work! But it was all worth it when I saw my Galarian Slowpoke evolve into a majestic Galarian Slowking. It was so cool to see it change right before my eyes!
So, that’s my Galarian Slowpoke adventure. It was a fun little challenge, and I’m pretty stoked to have both a Galarian Slowbro and a Galarian Slowking now. If you’re playing Pokémon Go, I definitely recommend trying to catch one of these guys during the event. It’s a good time! Keep at it, and you’ll get there. Happy hunting, everyone!
