Okay, guys, let’s talk about my favorite Pokémon, Giratina, and how I set it up in Pokémon GO. I’ve spent quite some time playing with it, trying out different moves, and I think I’ve finally nailed down what works best. I’m here to share my experience so you can get the most out of your Giratina too!
Getting My Giratina Ready
First off, I caught my Giratina during the 2022 Halloween Event. I remember it clearly! I was so excited because it got its signature move then. I was checking its stats, its CP, IVs, and HP like crazy. I wanted to make sure I had the best one possible, you know? A hundo Giratina from a Raid encounter can have a CP of 2105, or 2631 if it’s weather boosted. Mine wasn’t perfect, but it was pretty darn good.

Choosing the Right Moves
Choosing the right moves was the next big thing. I tried a lot of different combos. At first, I was all over the place, trying this and that, but then I started to understand what each move was really good for.
- Fast Moves:
- I started with Shadow Claw. It’s great for hitting most Pokémon for decent damage, even if they resist Ghost-type moves.
- I experimented with Dragon Breath too. This one is a bit more specific. It’s super effective against Dragon-type Pokémon, but not so great against others. I found myself switching between these two depending on who I was battling.
- Charged Moves:
- For Charged moves, I needed something powerful. I went with Shadow Ball. It’s a Ghost-type move and does a ton of damage. It was perfect when I used it with Shadow Claw. I tried many other moves, but this was an absolute beast in most scenarios.
- Sometimes, when I was up against other Dragon-types, I’d use Dragon Pulse. It’s a good move to have when you need to hit those Dragons hard.
Putting It All Together
After a lot of trial and error, I found that the best combo for my Giratina was Shadow Claw as the Fast Move and Shadow Ball as the Charged Move. It was awesome in battles. It hit hard, and it was consistent. When I needed to, I’d switch to Dragon Breath and Dragon Pulse for those Dragon-type matchups, but most of the time, I stuck with my main combo.
Battling and Winning
With this setup, I started winning a lot more. I took on Raids, battled other trainers, and even did some GO Battle League. My Giratina was a beast! I remember this one Raid where everyone else was struggling, and my Giratina just swept through the other Pokémon. It was amazing!
Final Thoughts
So, there you have it! That’s how I set up my Giratina in Pokémon GO. It took some time, some experimenting, and a lot of battles, but I’m really happy with how it turned out. If you have a Giratina, give this setup a try and see how it works for you. Trust me, it’s a game-changer! Happy battling, everyone!
