Alright, let’s talk about taking down Mesprit in Pokemon Go. I’ve been trying different strategies, and I wanna share what’s been working for me.
So, Mesprit, huh? That little psychic thing can be a pain if you’re not prepared. I remember the first time I tried to battle it, I got wrecked. Didn’t know what I was doing. But, you know, you learn from your mistakes.

First, I did some digging around, I checked out some guides online. You know, the usual stuff. They’re all like, “Use this Pokemon, use that Pokemon.” I found some information about using Mega Tyranitar. That big guy is a beast against Mesprit. Seriously, if you got one, use it. I happened to have one, so that was my go-to.
- Mega Tyranitar: This thing is a monster. Dark and rock type, it hits Mesprit hard. Mine has Bite and Crunch, and it just melts Mesprit’s health bar.
But not everyone has a Mega Tyranitar, right? I get it. So, I also tried regular Tyranitar. Still pretty good, to be honest. Not as powerful, but it gets the job done. Especially if you have a few of them powered up, you can just throw them at Mesprit and watch it struggle.
Then I thought, “What else can I use?” I went through my Pokemon, looking for anything that could hit Mesprit hard. You want dark types, ghost types, bug types… anything that preys on psychic Pokemon.
I tried a few other things. I have a Hydreigon, which worked okay. But it’s not as reliable as a Tyranitar. And then I remembered Gengar. That ghostly guy is always fun to use.
- Gengar: Fast, hits hard. If you can dodge Mesprit’s attacks, Gengar can do some serious damage. I used Shadow Claw and Shadow Ball, and it was pretty effective.
I also tried using some bug-type Pokemon like Scizor. And while not being the best choice here, it can work if you don’t have the other ones mentioned above. I used Fury Cutter and X-Scissor on mine.
My Strategy
Here’s what I ended up doing. I’d start with Mega Tyranitar. Just go all out, use all its charged attacks. When it fainted, I’d bring out regular Tyranitar. And if things got dicey, I’d throw in Gengar to finish the job.
Honestly, the key is to just keep hitting Mesprit with super-effective moves. Don’t let up. And if you can, team up with other trainers. The more people you have, the easier it is to take down Mesprit. I did a few raids with some friends, and it was a breeze.
So yeah, that’s my experience with battling Mesprit. It’s not too tough once you know what you’re doing. Just get some strong dark, ghost, or bug types, and you’re good to go. And remember, Mega Tyranitar is your best friend here. Trust me, it makes things so much easier. The main thing here is to get yourself prepared, then go out there and try it yourself. Oh, I also met up with Uxie and Azelf. They are from the same trio I think, and my strategy pretty much worked on them too! Good luck, and happy hunting!
