Alright, folks, gather ’round, gather ’round! You know I love tinkering with my games, and Destiny 2 is no exception. Today, I wanna talk about something that’s been a game-changer for me – the Elemental Charge mod.
So, I was scrolling through some Destiny 2 forums, and I kept seeing people raving about this “Elemental Charge” thing. I was like, “What’s the big deal?” I mean, I’ve played my fair share of Destiny, but I wasn’t really up to speed on all the latest and greatest mods. But curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to dig in.

First, I had to figure out what this thing even was. Turns out, it’s an armor mod that helps you build up your armor charge. I found a post, maybe a guide, that explained it: you get this charge by collecting elemental pickups like those Firesprites things. Okay, cool, I get that. But how do you even get these elemental mods? It’s not like they just drop from enemies, you know?
Getting My Hands on Elemental Charge
After a bit more searching, I found out the only way to get these specific mods was to buy them from Ada-1. She’s that vendor in the Tower, right? Apparently, you gotta check in with her every day because her stock rotates. Talk about a grind! But hey, I was determined. So, I made it a point to visit Ada-1 every single day. It became part of my daily Destiny routine, like doing my bounties and checking Xur’s inventory.
- Logged in, did my usual patrols and strikes.
- Headed to the Tower.
- Made a beeline for Ada-1.
- Prayed to the RNG gods that she had Elemental Charge.
And guess what? After a few days of this – maybe it was a week, I don’t even remember – she finally had it! Elemental Charge was right there in her inventory. I grabbed it without a second thought. Finally, all the days of checking in with her each day paid off!
Experimenting and Domination
Now that I had the mod, it was time to experiment. I slapped it on my armor and started playing around with different builds. And you know what, it made a noticeable difference in getting armor charges. I tried it with different elemental pickups, different subclasses. I was popping off, getting my Super way more often. It felt great! I equipped three copies of the mod, and it gave me an Armor Charge every other time when I destroyed a tangle.
I noticed on one of the forums, that you had to do “Threats and Surges” in the Nightfall section of the rank 7 objectives to unlock these armor charge mods. Seemed right, since I had done those a while back. Then I put on another mod called “Elemental Ordnance” to test with Elemental Charge. It says it makes an elemental well that matches your subclass when you take out enemies with grenades. I was throwing grenades like crazy, but it only made a well once in a while, not every time. That’s how it goes though, right?
I kept tweaking and refining, and before I knew it, I had a build that was absolutely crushing it. I was generating orbs like crazy, my Super was always up, and I was just melting enemies. It felt like I had unlocked a whole new level of power in Destiny 2. All thanks to this one little mod that I almost overlooked.
So, there you have it, my journey with the Elemental Charge mod. It was a bit of a grind to get it, but totally worth it in the end. If you’re a Destiny 2 player and you haven’t tried this mod yet, I highly recommend giving it a shot. You might just be surprised at how much it can change your game. And hey, if you’ve got any tips or tricks for using Elemental Charge, let me know in the comments! I’m always looking for ways to improve my build.
