Alright, let’s talk about how I finally figured out this whole Drustvar thing in World of Warcraft. It was a bit of a head-scratcher for a while, I gotta admit.
So, I started my journey, and naturally, I was trying to get to Drustvar. I mean, who wouldn’t want to check out that spooky, cursed place, right? But, turns out, it’s not as straightforward as just walking there. Nope.

First, I had to get to Dazar’alor. I was playing my Horde character, and because I wasn’t leveling through Battle for Azeroth at the time, I needed to find Chromie. You know, that little gnome that messes with time. Found her near the Embassy in Orgrimmar, and she helped me switch timelines or something.
Once I was in the right timeline, I started doing those Battle for Azeroth quests. You know, the ones that kick off the whole war campaign thing. Did a bunch of those, and finally, I got to the harbor in Dazar’alor. That’s where the real fun began.
At the harbor, there’s this ship called the Banshee’s Wail. Cool name, right? And on that ship, there’s this Dread-Admiral Tattersail. So, I chatted with her, and she gave me a quest to head over to Drustvar. Finally! Some progress.
The Tricky Part
- But, here’s where it got a bit tricky. I took the quest, sailed over to Drustvar, and started doing the initial quests there. Things were going okay, but then I hit a roadblock. I got stuck on a quest. Couldn’t progress, couldn’t figure out what to do. Frustrating, to say the least.
- I tried a few things, searched around online, but nothing seemed to work. Then, someone suggested I abandon the quest and then go back to the quest giver. So, I did just that. Went back, abandoned the quest, and lo and behold, there she was, the same NPC, with the quest available again.
- This time, when I accepted the quest, she opened up a portal. And guess what? That portal took me exactly where I needed to go to continue the quest chain.
Man, that was a relief. I finally got to Drustvar, no thanks to the confusing quest. It felt like I had to jump through hoops. It seems like I needed to do those intro quests to get the foothold. The first one is to Drustvar, no less! After that whole ordeal, I could finally explore the area, do the quests, and even get that cool Waycrest Manor dungeon. Turns out, Drustvar is a zone in the western part of Kul Tiras, which was the home of the Drust race. Pretty neat, huh?
So, yeah, that’s my story of how I got to Drustvar. A bit of a bumpy ride, but I made it in the end. Hope this helps someone else out there who might be struggling with the same thing. Happy questing!
