Today, I tried out this game called Kingdom Hearts 1.5, and let me tell you, getting those trophies is a real grind. First off, I started playing the game, just trying to get a feel for it, you know? I jumped into the Final Mix version ’cause I heard that’s where all the extra goodies are.
So, I’m running around, slashing those Heartless, just having a blast. Then, I got it in my head to try and snag all the trophies. I looked up some guides online, and man, it’s a whole thing. You gotta play through the game multiple times, like, at least three, just to get all the difficulty trophies.

- Started playing on Beginner to get a feel for the game and some basic trophies.
- Then I bumped it up to Final Mix: Standard for a bit of a challenge and more trophies.
- Finally, I had to do a Proud Mode run. Let me tell you, that was tough!
I managed to get through it, though. I followed this guide that broke down all the trophies and achievements by each game in the 1.5 + 2.5 collection. That helped a lot. It even had these little notes for some of the achievements that you can only do in one playthrough. Saved me a bunch of time, not having to figure that out myself.
I also tried to learn about those Gummi Ship controls, that’s a whole other can of worms. I mainly focused on the main game, though. I spent hours collecting stuff, beating bosses, and trying not to throw my controller during Proud Mode.
Some Serious Grinding
I was determined to get that platinum trophy, so I just kept at it. I used some tips and tricks I found online to get through the tough parts, especially on Proud Mode. The game is fun, don’t get me wrong, but man, getting all those trophies is a lot of work.
I finally did it, though. Got that platinum trophy. It took a while, but it felt pretty good. All in all, it was a pretty cool experience. Just be prepared to spend some serious time if you’re going for all the trophies. But there are only 56 trophies in Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix, I’ve heard it’s a piece of cake to get all of them. It’s worth picking up if you have 60 bucks to spare. For real, it includes 4 games and 2 movies! I heard that 1 & 2 play about the same, Chain of Memories is a real-time card game, but if you don’t like it you can watch the cutscenes online. I guess the gameplay for each game is different, so try it out!
Also, I watched a video today, a guy confirmed that there isn’t a secret ending. Can’t believe this. I played for so long just to find out this. It was so disappointing. But he also said that if he said there’s a secret ending, then it wouldn’t be a secret anymore, which also makes sense. I’ll just pretend I didn’t hear anything and keep searching for the secret ending.
