Alright, so, a while back I found myself needing to get to Drustvar. I mean, I was just following the Night Fae campaign, right? But then, bam! I hit a wall. Nathanos, that guy, he was only giving out quests for Nazjatar and some Darkshore scenario. I was like, “What gives?” I really needed to get to Drustvar. So, I started digging around, trying to figure out how the heck to get there.
First thing I did, I jumped into the war campaign, cause I remembered something about a ship captain in Zuldazar. Turns out, that was the ticket! This captain, he’s the one who can send you to Drustvar. It was a bit of a facepalm moment, but hey, I got there eventually.

But here’s where it gets interesting. I also remembered seeing something about a mount in Dazar’alor. I’d actually gotten it myself a few times when the whole Battle for Azeroth thing first started. So, if you’re into collecting mounts, that’s a good place to check out.
Now, if you’re in the Horde, like me, you gotta complete the Horde War Campaign quests. That’s what really opens up Drustvar. It’s kinda like a key to a locked door, you know? Without it, you’re just stuck.
First Step in Detail
After some reading, I discovered that you gotta do this whole questline in Tiragarde Sound before you can even think about Drustvar. So, I went there, did all the quests, and boom, Drustvar was finally on my map.
I also found out that Drustvar is this snowy, mountainous place in Kul Tiras. It used to be the home of these Drust folks. The scenery is pretty cool, but man, those mountains can make it a pain to get around.
Other Way To Unlock Drustvar
During my research, I found some advice for people on the Alliance side. It said to go to the Boralus mission map and pick Drustvar as your quest zone. You gotta keep doing quests until this Lucille Waycrest asks you to join her. Apparently, that quest gives you a bunch of reputation, enough to push you past friendly, which is what you need.
So, for those who don’t know, this whole thing starts with a quest called “Come Sail Away”. You can pick it up from the Scouting Map in Boralus. It’s part of a bigger quest chain called “The Final Effigy” and it’s all part of this “Drust Do It” achievement. Kinda cheesy name, but whatever.
Then I decided to go to the docks in Zuldazar, cause I figured there might be a ship there that could take me. And there was! I found Nathanos on a ship and talked to him. Actually, I talked to the captain of the ship, the guy by the wheel, and asked him to take me to Drustvar. And he did! Just like that, I was on my way.
And yeah, that’s pretty much how I managed to get to Drustvar. It was a bit of a roundabout journey, but I learned a lot along the way. Hope this helps anyone else who’s trying to figure this out!
