Today, I’m diving into something I recently got hooked on – collecting cards from the “New Phyrexia” set in Magic: The Gathering. I wanted to make a complete list of all the cards in this set, so I started by looking around online to see what resources were available.
I found a few websites that mentioned the “New Phyrexia” card list and prices, which was a good start. Then I discovered that the latest set, “Phyrexia: All Will Be One,” also had a card list and price guide. That got me thinking about how these two sets might be related.

Finding Card Lists
I stumbled upon something called “The List,” which apparently contains over 100 cards from Magic’s past that you can find in the “Phyrexia: All Will Be One” Set Boosters. It seemed like a cool way to get some older cards while exploring the new set. The same website mentioned that “The List” cards show up in Set Boosters about 25% of the time, and they could be commons, uncommons, or rares. That sounded like a fun little lottery within each pack.
I also found out that the “Phyrexia: All Will Be One” set has a total of 271 cards. That’s a lot of cards to collect! It broke down to 101 commons, 80 uncommons, 60 rares, 20 mythic rares, and 10 basic lands. Plus, they said there are premium versions of all these cards, which I guess are like shiny or special versions. That could really make things interesting, and expensive. It was also said that Each Jumpstart Booster contains 20 Magic cards.
Digging Deeper
The website I was reading got a bit more into the pricing side of things. It pointed out that some of the cards in the “Phyrexia: All Will Be One” set are super valuable, like this “Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines” card, which they said could go for anywhere between $40 and $300. There were a couple of other cards mentioned, “Mondrak, Glory Dominus,” “Vraska, Betrayal’s Sting,” and “Skrelv, Defector Mite,” which seemed to be pretty sought after as well. They called them “future staples,” which I took to mean they’re expected to be really good cards to have in your deck for a long time.
Organizing My Collection
So, with all this information, I decided to make a spreadsheet to keep track of my collection. I listed all 271 cards from the “Phyrexia: All Will Be One” set and started marking which ones I had. I also made a note of the rare cards and the ones from “The List” that I pulled from the Set Boosters. It was a bit of a pain to get started, but it’s really helped me see what I have and what I still need to find.
I’ve been trading with some friends and checking out local game stores to fill in the gaps in my collection. It’s been a fun challenge, and I’ve learned a lot about the game and the different cards in the process. Plus, it’s always exciting to open a new pack and see what you get!
