Okay, here is my sharing about Fortnite chest spawn locations.
So, I’ve been grinding in Fortnite lately, trying to figure out the best spots to snag some chests. Let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a journey. There is an interactive map that you can use to discover the chest spawn locations. I tried that first.

After doing some digging, I found out that the top three places to hit up are The Doggpound, Spaghetti Grotto, and Sweaty Sands. These spots are pretty popular because they’re packed with chests. I figured, “Why not start there?” So, I dropped into these locations a bunch of times to see what’s up.
First off, The Doggpound. This place is a maze, but once you get the hang of it, you can find a good number of chests. I usually start from the main building and work my way outwards. It’s hit or miss, though. Some games I’m loaded, other times I’m running around like a headless chicken. It is kind of messy to look for chests there.
Next up, Spaghetti Grotto. This place is a bit more spread out, but there are plenty of hiding spots. I like to check the underground areas and the little nooks and crannies. It’s less crowded than The Doggpound, so I have a better chance of getting geared up without getting into too many fights early on.
Sweaty Sands is a classic. It’s a big area with lots of buildings, so there are tons of places for chests to spawn. I tend to stick to the outskirts and then move inwards. The hotel is usually a good spot, but it’s also a hot drop, so you gotta be ready for a scrap. There are quite a lot of players there and fighting is inevitable.
Other Places
- Mount Olympus: I heard this place has a high chance of spawning those special Avengers chests. Dropped there a few times, and it’s true, you can find some good loot. But be careful, it’s pretty exposed, and you can get sniped easily.
- The Underworld: Similar to Mount Olympus, this spot also has a bunch of Avengers chests. It’s a bit more enclosed, so you have more cover, but it’s also a bit of a maze. I got lost a couple of times, but when you find those chests, it’s worth it.
Some Tips
Now, here’s a little trick I learned. Playing during off-peak hours can help. Fewer players online means less competition for chests. So, I started playing early in the morning or late at night. It’s not a guaranteed fix, but it does make things a bit easier.
Another thing I tried was revisiting high-yield locations. I heard that rare chests don’t always spawn in the same spots, but places like Doomstadt and Castle Doom are good bets. So, after hitting up my usual spots, I’d swing by these areas to see if anything spawned. It’s a bit of a gamble, but sometimes you get lucky.
All in all, finding chests in Fortnite is a mix of strategy and luck. You gotta know where to look, but you also need a bit of good fortune. Keep exploring, try out different spots, and don’t be afraid to switch up your routine. That’s what I’ve been doing, and it’s been paying off. Happy hunting!
