Okay, so, I got into this Apex Legends thing, the ALGS preseason qualifiers. It’s a big deal, apparently, with all these teams battling it out. I saw that there are like, 120 teams in this Pro League thing for Split 1, with 30 teams in each region. A lot of people playing, that’s for sure.
So, first thing I did was get my account level up. Apparently, you need to be at least level 50 now to get into this ALGS stuff. I spent some time playing all sorts of game modes in Apex Legends. Grinding, as they say. I just played a bunch, trying to level up as fast as I could. It took a while, but I eventually hit that level 50 mark.

Getting into the Qualifiers
Then, I had to figure out these preseason qualifier tournaments. They’re happening over a few weekends. I marked the dates: September 11-13, September 25-27, October 2-4, and October 9-11. Four tournaments in total. I signed up for them, fingers crossed.
I started playing in the Ranked mode a lot. I figured, the better I am in Ranked, the more I’ll stand out, you know? I mean, that’s what I read online. It’s all about getting noticed and showing off your skills. It was tough, but kind of fun too.
The Actual Play
When the tournament days came, I was pretty nervous. So many good players around. I tried my best, played game after game. Some matches were good, some were… not so good. But, I kept at it, trying to improve with each game.
It’s a whole different world in these competitive matches. Everyone’s super serious and the gameplay is really intense. I learned a lot just by playing and watching others. It’s like, you think you’re good, and then you see these guys, and it’s a whole new level.
- First tournament weekend: Joined and started. Got my feet wet, a bit of a rough start, but I pushed through.
- Second weekend: Better strategy. Got a better feel, improved from the first time.
- Third weekend: Not as good. Hit a bit of a slump, but it’s part of the process.
- Fourth weekend: Went all out. Tried to bring everything I had learned.
In the end, I didn’t make it to the top, but it was an experience, man. I got to see what competitive Apex is all about. I’m planning to keep at it, maybe try again next season. It’s a grind, but it’s also pretty exciting. I definitely am going to practice more on my skills and get stronger! Who knows? Maybe next time I’ll do better.
