Okay, so today, I wanted to mess around with something called “Alliance Points” in ESO. I’d heard about them a bit, people talking about how you can use them to get some cool stuff. So, I jumped into the game, ready to see what all the fuss was about.
First off, I had to figure out what these Alliance Points even were. Turns out, they’re like a special kind of money you earn in the game. Not the regular gold, but something you get from doing stuff in the big PvP area, Cyrodiil. You can also acquire them by completing battleground quests. You know, where all the different factions are fighting each other. I’m not really into PvP that much, I usually just do quests and explore, but I was curious.

Earning Some Points
So, I headed to Cyrodiil. I thought, “Okay, I’ll just jump in and see how it goes.” Big mistake. I got wiped out pretty fast by some higher-level players. Yeah, it was a bit rough. But I did manage to get a few points here and there, just by being near the big fights and helping out a bit. And I did some of those battleground quests which felt a little safer. Or you can get them through daily log in rewards.
Finding the Vendors
After a while, I had a decent amount of these points. Now, the next step was to find these special vendors that take them. I remembered reading something about them being in Cyrodiil, at certain cities. There’s also supposed to be some at the places where you enter, called “gates”.
I went to the three Cyrodiil cities, Bruma, Cheydinhal and Chorrol, and finally found one. They had a bunch of stuff, like crafting materials, motif pages, and these boxes where you get a random piece of gear. I also found some vendors called “Elite Gear Vendors”. They had some really good armor and weapons. I guess they’re for people who are really into the whole PvP thing. They also had some potions. And another vendors called “Alliance Quartermasters”.
Spending My Hard-Earned Points
I decided to grab a few of those random boxes. You know, just to see what I’d get. It was kind of exciting, like opening a present. I ended up with some decent gear, nothing amazing, but still pretty cool. I also bought a motif page, because I like collecting those. I thought about getting some of the high-level gear from the Elite Gear Vendors, but I figured I’d save my points for now. I’m not sure I’m ready for that level of PvP just yet.
So yeah, that was my little adventure with Alliance Points. It was a bit of a learning experience, especially getting beat up in Cyrodiil. But I can see why people like collecting these points. You can get some pretty unique stuff with them. I might try to earn some more in the future, maybe when I’m feeling a bit braver in PvP. We’ll see!
- Earn Alliance Points: Mostly through PvP in Cyrodiil or battlegrounds.
- Find Vendors: Check the three main cities in Cyrodiil or the entrance areas.
- Buy Stuff: Motifs, materials, random gear boxes, or high-level PvP gear from special vendors.
Overall, it was a fun little experiment. I’m still a noob when it comes to a lot of things in ESO, but it’s always cool to try something new. Maybe one day I’ll be a PvP pro, but for now, I’m happy just exploring and figuring things out as I go.
