Okay, so, I was messing around with this card game called Marvel Snap, right? And there’s this character, Agatha Harkness, who’s like a super powerful witch from way back in the Salem Witch Trials days. She’s got this crazy ability where she starts in your hand at the beginning of the game and pretty much plays the game for you until you can finally get her on the board.
I heard a lot of people saying she’s one of the worst cards in the game because she takes control. But, you know, I like a good challenge, and her playstyle seemed kinda fun in a weird way. It’s like, “Sure, take the wheel, Agatha!”

So, I started experimenting with her. I built a few different decks, trying to see if I could make her work. The first few games were a total mess, no surprises there. Agatha was just dropping cards all over the place, it was chaos. Sometimes she’d pull off something cool, but most of the time it felt like I was just watching the game play itself, and not in a good way.
But then, I started to notice something. Even though she was making some pretty questionable plays, she was also thinning out my deck. That’s kinda like cleaning it up, you know? Getting rid of the cards I didn’t need at that moment. And because she starts in your hand, it’s like you’ve got an extra card to begin with. Card advantage, they call it.
So, I started leaning into that. I built a deck that was all about getting big cards out fast, using cards that let me draw more or play things early. The idea was that even if Agatha made some dumb moves, she’d eventually get those powerhouses out there, and I could ride that wave to victory.
And you know what? It actually started to work! It wasn’t perfect, and I definitely lost some games because Agatha decided to do something completely random, but I won a lot more than I expected. It felt good to take this card that everyone said was terrible and find a way to make it kinda good. Also, I think there’s something to be said for her other role as the arch-enemy of Wanda Maximoff, and if you were watching, she even controlled the whole Westview anomaly from behind the scenes, so I got a sense that she could be powerful.
- Experimented with different deck builds around Agatha.
- Observed that Agatha thins out the deck and provides card advantage.
- Built a deck focused on getting powerful cards out quickly.
- Achieved more wins than expected by utilizing Agatha’s unique ability.
It just goes to show, sometimes you gotta try things out for yourself, even if everyone else is telling you it’s a bad idea. You might just surprise yourself. Or maybe you just like watching a digital witch play a card game for you, who knows? But it’s all good fun, you know?
