Alright, so I wanted to switch things up in MLB The Show 24, you know? I was getting a bit tired of playing for the same old team, and I figured it was time for a change of scenery. So, I started poking around, trying to figure out how to request a trade.
First things first, I fired up the game and jumped into the Road to the Show mode. That’s where all the career action happens, right? Once I was in there, I started exploring the menus. I went straight to the “My Player” section, thinking that’s where the trade stuff would be.

- Open the game and enter Road to the Show mode.
- Navigate to the “My Player” menu.
In the “My Player” menu, there’s a tab called “Interactions.” I clicked on that, expecting to find a big, shiny “Request Trade” button. But guess what? It wasn’t there. Yeah, I was a bit bummed out. It turns out, MLB The Show 24 doesn’t have a direct option to request a trade like the older games did.
So, I dug a little deeper. I found out that you can still interact with your agent. I thought, “Maybe the agent can help me out here.” To call your agent, you gotta go to the main menu in Road to the Show, find the “Interactions” tab for your player, and there should be an option to contact your agent. It’s kinda hidden, but it’s there.
- Click on the “Interactions” tab in the “My Player” menu.
- Look for an option to contact your agent.
But here’s the kicker: even if you talk to your agent, there’s no guarantee you’ll get traded. It’s not like the old days where you could just say “I wanna leave” and poof, you’re on a new team. Now, it’s more about playing really well and hoping that other teams notice you. You gotta perform like a beast, get scouted, and then maybe, just maybe, you’ll get an offer to move to a different team.
Honestly, it’s a bit of a letdown. I miss the simplicity of just asking for a trade. But hey, I guess it makes the game a bit more realistic, right? You can’t always get what you want in the real world, and the same goes for MLB The Show 24. So, I’m just gonna keep grinding, playing my heart out, and crossing my fingers that a trade happens eventually.
- Play well and attract attention from other teams.
- Hope for a trade offer through your performance.
That’s my experience with trying to get traded in MLB The Show 24. It’s not as straightforward as I’d like, but it’s still a fun challenge. If anyone else has figured out a better way or has some tips, I’m all ears!
