So, I’ve been digging into this whole Pokémon card thing, specifically about Dragonite cards, because why not? It’s been a wild ride, let me tell you.
First off, I started looking around to see what the deal was with these Dragonite cards. I mean, I knew they were cool and all, but I didn’t know if they were actually worth anything. Turns out, they are! There are like a ton of different sets Dragonite cards have been in, at least 17, can you believe it? That’s a lot of cards.

I started to look deeper, trying to find out which ones were like, the big deals. And it looks like this 1997 Japanese Mystery of the Fossils Holo card, number 149, that’s one of the ones that’s been shaking things up price-wise. People are really into it.
Then there’s the Dark Dragonite from the Team Rocket set. I found out that these were made a while back, and they’re pretty popular too. I guess people like the “dark” version of Dragonite. Who knew?
- Checked out this site, Mavin or something, to see what cards were selling for.
- It’s like a treasure hunt, trying to figure out what these cards are worth.
I stumbled upon this thing about a Dragonite Fossil set card, the Holo-First Edition, graded 10. Apparently, that’s like, the best grade a card can get? Anyway, this thing is going for over $5,000 on average! And get this, someone paid almost $10,000 for one back in 2020. That’s insane, right?
My Little Adventure Summary
I dove into the history of Dragonite in the trading card game, looking at all the different versions and trying to figure out their prices. It’s a whole world out there, with vintage cards being worth some serious cash. Most of the cards are old, from way back when, and they just got more valuable over time. Makes sense, I guess.
It’s been a fun little project, getting to know all about these Dragonite cards. Who would’ve thought pieces of cardboard could be so interesting, and worth so much? Wild stuff.
