Hey, you young’uns, gather ’round and listen to this old lady talk about this thing called Baldur’s Gate 3 pre-order bonus. My grandkid, he’s always on that computer thing, and he was hootin’ and hollerin’ about this game. Said I should tell everyone about the “pre-order bonus”. I don’t know what that is, but he says it’s important.
So, this Baldur’s Gate 3, it’s like one of them fancy storybooks, but you play it. And if you give them your money before it’s even out, they give you extra goodies. That’s the “pre-order” part, I reckon. And the “bonus” is the extra stuff. Makes sense, right?

What You Get in This Baldur’s Gate 3 Thing
Now, my grandkid, he was goin’ on and on about different “editions.” Sounds like them fancy books with the leather covers. This Baldur’s Gate 3, it’s got a couple of them.
- One is the Deluxe Edition. I don’t know what’s so deluxe about it. My grandkid said you get these digital things, a soundtrack and some sheets and an artbook. Whatever those are. I still use paper.
- Then there’s this other one, the Collector’s Edition. Sounds real fancy, don’t it? This one, you get everything in that Deluxe one, plus some other stuff. My grandkid says it lets you play early, on that PlayStation 5 thing, but not on the computer, he said. I don’t know why they make things so complicated. Also you get a special dice, he said. I thought you needed real dice to play games. Kids these days.
Now, if you already gave them your money for the regular game, my grandkid says they’ll just give you the Deluxe one. Ain’t that somethin’? Like gettin’ an extra slice of pie for the same price. And even if you didn’t, you can still get the upgrade, I think that’s what he called it.
This Game Is Long, Like a Month of Sundays
My grandkid, he told me this game takes a long time to play. Like, a real long time. He said 75 to 100 hours! Can you believe that? That’s like, watching the crops grow. And that’s just to play it once! I told him he should spend more time outside, but what do I know?
They Got Different Versions of This Game
My grandkid, he says there are like three different versions of this Baldur’s Gate 3 game. I don’t know why they can’t just have one. Makes my head spin. They got different prices, I guess. Like buyin’ different sizes of feed bags. The bigger the bag, the more you pay, but you get more feed. Same idea, I reckon. Although with these computer things, it’s all invisible. I like to see what I am buying.
Save Some Pennies, Maybe
Oh, and get this. He also said it was cheaper on somethin’ called Steam. Like a sale at the general store. He said it’s 20% off. I always did like a good bargain. But it’s only for a little while, he said, until some Monday in November. I don’t keep track of all those days.
This Old Lady’s Two Cents
So, there you have it. That’s what I know about this Baldur’s Gate 3 pre-order bonus. If you like them computer games, and you got some money to spend, maybe it’s worth it. I don’t know. I’d rather spend my money on somethin’ I can hold in my hand. Like a good quilt, or a nice jar of preserves. But these young’uns, they like their digital things.
Anyway, you go on and do what you want. Just remember what this old lady said: a penny saved is a penny earned. And if you can get somethin’ extra for your money, well, that’s just smart shoppin’. Even if it’s for some fancy computer game I don’t understand. Now, where’s my knitting?
