You wanna know about that Pokemon Go Trapinch, huh? Well, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout it down at the general store the other day. Seems like everyone’s tryin’ to catch these little critters on their phones.
That Trapinch Thing
This Trapinch, it’s one of them Pokemon things, I reckon. They say it’s a ground type. What’s that mean? It likes the dirt, I guess! Just like my old man used to say, “A pig in the mud is a happy pig.” Maybe this Trapinch is like that, happy in the dirt.

And get this, they say this little fella is weak against water, and grass, and ice. Well, who ain’t weak against ice? You ever been caught in a hailstorm? It ain’t fun, I tell ya! So, water, grass, and ice, huh? Keep that in mind if you’re tryin’ to catch this Trapinch in Pokemon Go.
Catching That Critter
Now, how do you catch this thing? I heard there’s a bunch of ways. Some folks say you gotta walk around, lookin’ at your phone. Sounds dangerous to me. Watch where you’re goin’, I always say! Don’t want to fall in a ditch chasin’ some make-believe critter. I heard you can catch it during that World of Wonders thing. Whatever that is. I just hope it doesn’t involve walking too far cause my hip ain’t what it used to be.
They say you can find this little guy in the desert, too. Makes sense, I suppose. Deserts are all dirt, right? This one, they call it the Haina Desert. Don’t know where that is, but I sure ain’t goin’ there. Too hot! I like my porch swing just fine, thank you very much.
- This Trapinch, it’s a Ground Pokemon.
- It’s not a fan of Water, Grass, or Ice.
- You can catch ’em different ways, walkin’ around and such.
- Some folks find ’em in the desert.
- Can find Trapinch in Pokemon Go during that World of Wonders time.
Strong and Weak Points
Every critter’s got its strong points and weak points, right? This Trapinch, they say it’s strong against poison. Well, that’s good, I reckon. Don’t want no poison around here! My old hound dog, bless his soul, he got into some poison once. Wasn’t a pretty sight.
They also talk about these “CP” things. Sounds like a bunch of gibberish to me. But they say this Trapinch can get up to 1,441 CP at level 50. Whatever that means. Just sounds like a big number to me. The bigger the number, the stronger it is, I suppose. So you want a high CP for your Trapinch.
Moves and Such
Now, these Pokemon, they got these things called “moves.” Like they’re dancin’ or somethin’. This Trapinch, it’s got a bunch of ’em. They say its strongest is called “Mud Shot and Dig.” Sounds messy. Like when my grandson tracked mud all through the house after playin’ in the rain. Not a happy day, let me tell you!
It’s got other moves, too. “Sand Tomb,” “Crunch,” “Scorching Sands”… Sounds like a whole lot of nothin’ to me. But I guess if you’re into this Pokemon Go thing, you gotta know these things. This Trapinch sure has a lot of ground-type moves, being a ground Pokemon and all.
Evolving and Such in Pokemon Go
And get this, this Trapinch, it can change! They call it “evolving.” Like a caterpillar turnin’ into a butterfly, I suppose. They say it turns into somethin’ called a “Vibrava” at level 35. Then it turns into a “Flygon” at level 45. Sounds like a fly, maybe? Hope it don’t buzz around my head. I hate flies.
There is also this thing called a “Shiny Trapinch”, I hear folks talking about that one all the time. A shiny one must be pretty special, I reckon.
They even say you can find a Flygon just wanderin’ around sometimes. In places called “Dusty Bowl” or “Lake of Outrage.” Well, I ain’t goin’ to no Lake of Outrage, that’s for sure! Sounds like a place where folks get into arguments. I’ve had enough of that in my life.

Final Thoughts on Trapinch
So, there you have it. Everything I heard ’bout this Trapinch in Pokemon Go. Seems like a lot of fuss over somethin’ you can’t even touch. But, to each their own, I suppose. If you’re young and got a fancy phone, you’ll like Pokemon Go. Just watch where you’re walkin’ and don’t go fallin’ in a ditch!
This whole Pokemon thing is something else. They are always coming out with new things and the kids, they just eat it up. I don’t understand much of it, but it keeps them busy, I guess.
