This here League of Legends game, it’s somethin’ else, ain’t it? My grandson, he’s always playin’ it. He’s always talkin’ ’bout these lol rank borders things. I asked him, “What are they?” He tried to explain, but that boy, he talks too fast. I think I got it now though. It’s like braggin’ rights, I reckon. Showin’ off how good ya are.
So these borders, they show up around your picture, I guess. Like a frame, ya know? And it changes, gets fancier the more ya play and the better ya get. It’s like wearin’ a shiny badge or somethin’. You see someone with a real fancy one, you know they been playin’ a long time. They know what they’re doin’.
My grandson, he says you gotta click on your picture in that game thing. Then you find somethin’ called “borders.” Sounds like you gotta pick the one you want. Makes sense, I guess. You wouldn’t want to wear a badge you didn’t earn, would ya?

He was sayin’ somethin’ ’bout levels, too. You start out with a plain ol’ border, nothin’ special. But then you hit level 30, you get a new one. Then level 50, another one. And it keeps goin’ like that. Every 25 levels, you get a better border. It’s like climbin’ a ladder, one rung at a time. The higher you climb, the better the view, or in this case, the better the border.
I heard him say somethin’ about level 500, too. That’s the top, the best border you can get. Imagine playin’ that much! That’s a whole lotta time starin’ at that screen. I reckon if you made it that far, you deserve a real fancy border. It shows you’re a real dedicated player, ain’t that right?
They got this point system, too. They call ’em League Points, or LP for short. Sounds complicated. I think it’s like, the more you win, the more points you get. And these points, they move you up and down in the ranks. Like a contest, I guess. You win some, you lose some. It’s like life, ain’t it?
If you get enough of these points, you move up to a better group. They call ’em tiers and divisions. My grandson tried to explain it to me, but I got lost somewhere in the middle. All I know is, the higher you go, the tougher the competition. It’s like climbin’ that ladder again. The higher you go, the harder it is to keep goin’.
These lol rank borders, they ain’t just for show, though they are nice to look at, I reckon. They tell a story, don’t they? They tell you how much someone’s played, how good they are, how much they’ve climbed that ladder. It’s like a little history book, right there on your screen.
I still don’t understand all the ins and outs of this game. But these borders, I think I get ’em. It’s about showin’ off your hard work. It’s about showin’ how far you’ve come. And it’s about havin’ somethin’ to strive for, somethin’ to keep you playin’. I guess that makes it a little fun in its way.
So, next time you see someone with a fancy border in that League of Legends game, you know what it means. You know they put in the time. You know they earned it. And you know they’re probably pretty darn good at that game. Maybe they even made it to level 500, who knows? That’s somethin’ to be proud of, I reckon. It sure is somethin’ to talk about, ain’t that right? Just like I’m doin’ right now. These borders, they got a whole story to tell, if you know how to listen. Or, well, in this case, read, I suppose. Anyway, you get my drift. It is all about the borders. They tell you who is good and who is not in the League of Legends. Keep your eyes on the borders, that is what I say.
