Well, let me tell you, I heard some folks talking ’bout this Mesprit thing in that Pokemon Go game. They was sayin’, “Is Mesprit good Pokemon Go?” Sounds like a right load of rubbish to me, but these young’uns and their games, what can you do? I figured I’d try to understand what the fuss is all about.
So, this Mesprit, it’s one of them Pokemon creatures, I reckon. Some kinda spirit thing, I guess. They say it’s not that great. Not very good, they say. It’s one of them “all-rounder” types, whatever that means. Sounds like it ain’t too good at anything specific, just kinda middlin’ at everything. Not the best Pokemon, I reckon. Not like that big ol’ Tyranitar, now that’s a Pokemon! Or that Gengar, spooky thing that it is. Those are good Pokemon, real strong ones, I hear. Mesprit, maybe not so much.

And this Mesprit in Pokemon Go, they say you gotta fight it in somethin’ called “raids”. Sounds like a bunch of folks ganging up on one poor creature to me. Not very nice, if you ask me. And this Mesprit, it apparently takes a few of ’em to beat it. They said three or four, maybe even seven or eight if you ain’t good enough. Sounds like a lot to me, just for one little Pokemon.
They say you need some special Pokemon to beat this Mesprit. This Mesprit is strong, they say, against them “Fighting” and “Poison” type Pokemon. Whatever that means. And it’s weak against some other types, maybe. I hear Darkrai is good, and something called Giratina and a name like Chandelure. Complicated names, these Pokemon have. And they say this Mesprit is a “Psychic” type, and resistant to “Fighting” and “Psychic” whatever that means. If you ask me, it all sounds mighty confusin’. Why can’t they just stick to regular animals, like a good ol’ dog or cat?
- They talk about this thing called “IVs”. No idea what it is.
- They say it has moves. I guess it moves around, like any critter.
- They also talk about “moveset analysis”. Sounds like more confusing things.
I heard ’em sayin’ this Mesprit ain’t the best in this Pokemon Go Battle League. Another one of their fancy terms. Sounds like a bunch of folks gettin’ their Pokemon to fight each other. Like cockfighting, but with these made-up creatures. Not for me, I tell ya.
Seems like you need a whole bunch of these Pokemon to be any good at this game. And this Mesprit, well, it’s just one of many. And not even a very good one, from what I hear. I mean, if you need three to four people, maybe seven to eight people to defeat it. You need a good team, you know? Use best counters for Mesprit to beat it.
They say this Mesprit is part of a trio, some “Lake Guardian Trio” thing. Sounds important, but I don’t know. They say it’s the most “well-rounded” of the bunch. But still, “mediocre” they called it. That means not very good, right? This Mesprit is not that good, then. But it is not easy to beat, still tough one. They say don’t underestimate it, whatever that means.
Honestly, all this Pokemon stuff is just too much for me. I don’t understand it, and I don’t think I want to. But if you’re into this Pokemon Go thing, then maybe you care about this Mesprit. Just remember what I said, it ain’t that good. There are better Pokemon out there, that’s for sure. You should find best attacker and defensive movesets for Mesprit. It may be helpful.
I still don’t know if Mesprit is good Pokemon Go. This Mesprit, it’s just another one of them Pokemon things. Maybe good for some folks, but not for me. I’ll stick to my garden, thank you very much. That’s where the real action is, not in some silly phone game.
