This here shiny Flaaffy, what a thing, right? In that Pokemon Go game, my grandson, he’s always on about it. Always on that phone, clickin’ away. He’s tryin’ to catch ’em all, he says. Says this Flaaffy, it ain’t easy to find. Not the shiny one, anyways. It’s pink. Regular one is also pink.
He told me you can find Flaaffy in the wild. Wherever that is. He’s always talkin’ ’bout “raids” too. Sounds rough. And somethin’ called “Research task” and “GO Battle League.” Sounds like a whole lotta work just to catch a pink sheep, if you ask me.
And get this, he says each one of these shiny Flaaffys, it’s like winnin’ the lottery or somethin’. One in five hundred and twelve, he says the chance is. My lands. I remember days, go buy lottery, never win. Now lottery in phone, still don’t win.
Now, if you already got yourself one of them shiny Mareep. Which I reckon is even harder to find, but that’s young folks for ya, always chasin’ somethin’. Anyways, if you got one, you can feed it 25 candies. That right, candies. Then you can turn it to a shiny Flaaffy. These young’uns and their games, I swear.
Where to find this thing? My grandson, he reads all them websites, he is good boy, help grandma find. He say you gotta go to where the grass is dark. Dark grass, he says. Says there’s more of ’em there. Double the chance, he says. Sounds right.

My grandson, always says, “Grandma, you gotta catch ’em all.” I tell him, “Catch what? These Pokemon things ain’t real.” But he just laughs. He’s a good boy, though. Always help me clean the house. Always help me cook.
He say you want this shiny Flaaffy, you gotta work for it. Gotta walk around, lookin’ at your phone. Gotta go to these raids. Gotta do these “Research tasks”, whatever that is. Gotta battle in this league. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll find one. Or feed that shiny Mareep.
I told him, back in my day, we didn’t have these things. We played outside. We ran around. We didn’t need no phones to have fun. He just smiles and says, “Times have changed, Grandma.” And I guess he’s right. Times have changed.
