This here Pokemon Go, it’s a real head-scratcher, ain’t it? My grandkids, they’re always on about it, catching them little critters on their phones. And one of ’em, it’s called a Sunflora, looks like a big ol’ sunflower, but it’s got a face on it. Kinda cute, I reckon, in a funny sort of way.
Now, I ain’t no expert on this Pokemon Go Sunflora thing, but I hear tell it’s all about battles and power and such. This Sunflora, it’s supposed to be strong against some types, like the ground and the rocks and the water. Makes sense, I guess. Sunflowers, they like the sun, not so much the water. They stand tall, soaking up that sunshine. Don’t need no watering can for a sunflower, not like them thirsty petunias.

My grandkids always try to explain IVs and CPs to me. It is so hard to understand. But I think this Sunflora, I hear folks sayin’ it’s good in them gym battles. You know, where the Pokey-mans, they fight each other? Don’t rightly understand why they gotta fight, but that’s the way of the world, I suppose. Always some kind of fuss goin’ on.
- It’s a grass type, I think. Like the grass in my yard that I gotta get ol’ Harold to mow.
- They say it’s got moves, like a dancer. But I ain’t never seen a sunflower dance, ‘cept maybe in the wind.
- This Sunflora, it’s got some special attacks. I hear the young’uns talkin’ about “Razor” somethin’ or other. Sounds sharp!
One of my grandkids, bless his heart, he showed me his Sunflora. Said it was a “wonder.” I reckon it is, in its own way. Like how a little seed can grow into a big ol’ flower. That’s a wonder, too, ain’t it? CP and HP, they are important I think. My Sunflora has a big CP, my grandson said. I think that is good.
They talk about somethin’ called “STAB,” too. Sounds painful, don’t it? But it’s got to do with the Pokemon’s attacks, I think. This Sunflora’s got some strong ones, they say. Good for fightin’ them other critters. I once saw a squirrel fight a blue jay over a sunflower seed. Mean little things, them blue jays.
This Pokemon Go, it’s a whole different world, ain’t it? Back in my day, we played outside, in the dirt. Didn’t need no phones to have fun. But times change, I reckon. And these kids, they seem to enjoy it. So who am I to say it’s wrong? This Sunflora is a strong Pokemon.
I hear folks talkin’ about the best Sunflora. They say you gotta find the one with the best stats. Like pickin’ the best tomato from the vine. You want the biggest, juiciest one. And they say it can be good for PvP battle. Whatever that is. Like some kind of sport, probably.
And this Sunflora, it’s resistant to some types, too. Like, it don’t get hurt as much by certain attacks. Like how a sunflower, it can stand up to the wind and the rain. Strong and sturdy, that’s what you want. Like a good, solid fence post.
- Ground, water, grass, electric… these are the things Sunflora is good against, they say.
- It’s like how a weed, it can resist the bug spray. Some things are just tough, I reckon.
- Gotta be strong to survive in this world, whether you’re a plant or a person or a Pokey-man.
My grandson told me Sunflora is weak against some Pokemons. It is a pity. But even the strongest ones have weakness, right? No one is perfect.
Some folks, they use this Sunflora to fight other folks’ Pokey-mans. They call it “trainer battles.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? Like a dog show or somethin’. I guess it’s all about strategy and knowin’ which Pokey-man to use. This Sunflora can be used in battles.
There is also something called “Skill Swap” and “Weak Armor” and “Loaded Dice.” What do they mean? It is just like those young people are talking in a different language.
Well, I reckon that’s all I know about this Sunflora. It’s a curious thing, this Pokemon Go. But as long as my grandkids are happy, that’s all that matters. They can chase their little critters, and I’ll just sit here on the porch and watch the real sunflowers grow. That’s enough excitement for me. And maybe I’ll ask ’em to show me that Sunflora again. It’s kinda cute, in a strange, Pokey-man sort of way. You should try to get a strong Sunflora too, if you play this game.
