Well, lemme tell ya, this here cherry blossom bonsai in that there ACNH game, it’s somethin’ else. I seen it, and I said, “That’s a pretty little thing, gotta have it!” Ain’t like the real ones, you know. Them real cherry blossoms, they come and go faster than a hot knife through butter. But this one, it’s gonna stick around.
Now, I ain’t no expert on these here video games. My grandkids, they’re the ones always playin’ ’em. But I seen this cherry blossom bonsai, and I thought, “I could figure that out.” Turns out, you gotta find somethin’ called a “recipe” first. Sounds like bakin’ a cake, don’t it?
You gotta get this recipe thing before you can make your own. And how do you get it? From them balloons! Yep, you heard me right. Balloons floatin’ around in the sky, and sometimes they got these recipes in ’em. Shoot ’em down, and you might get lucky. I reckon it’s like them claw machines at the fair, only you don’t gotta pay a quarter every time.
So, I been shootin’ down every balloon I see. Yellow ones, blue ones, don’t matter. Just gotta keep tryin’. One time, I got somethin’ called an “Outdoor Picnic Set” from Isabelle, whoever that is. But I just want the cherry blossom bonsai recipe.

They say you gotta play this game in April. That’s when these cherry blossoms are around, I guess. Makes sense, seein’ as how that’s when they bloom in real life, too. But I heard some folks say you can change the date on your game thingy, like a time traveler or somethin’. I don’t know nothin’ about that, though.
Once you got that recipe, you gotta have some other stuff to make the bonsai. Like, six of them cherry blossom petals. They’re pink and pretty, just like the real thing. You gotta shake them trees to get those petals. And you need some wood, too. Regular old hardwood, the kind you chop from trees. I reckon that’s easy enough.
Then you need some weeds. Three clumps of ’em, they say. Now, why you’d want weeds in a pretty little bonsai, I don’t know. Seems kinda silly to me. But hey, I ain’t the one makin’ the rules. And some clay, too. Three pieces of that. I guess that’s for the pot or somethin’.
So, you need:
- 6 cherry blossom petals
- 2 pieces of hardwood
- 3 clumps of weeds
- 3 pieces of clay
It’s a lot of stuff to gather, I tell ya. But I reckon it’s worth it. That little cherry blossom bonsai, it’s just so darn cute. And it’ll last forever, unlike them real cherry blossoms that just wilt away after a few days. This way, you can have a little piece of spring all year round. Now, I heard some folks sayin’ that these cherry blossom trees only show up durin’ a certain time. And that if you see ’em at other times, it’s some kind of trickery. I don’t know about all that. All I know is, I want that cherry blossom bonsai ACNH, and I’m gonna keep shootin’ down them balloons until I get it. And if you want to get more cherry blossom recipes, you need to play it a lot.
It ain’t easy, this cherry blossom bonsai business. Lots of folks are tryin’ to get it, so you gotta be persistent. Just like weedin’ the garden, you gotta keep at it, or them weeds will take over. Same with these balloons, I reckon. Gotta keep shootin’ ’em down, or you’ll never get that recipe.
