You know, that Dak Prescott, he’s that football fella, right? I heard folks talkin’ ’bout his Madden 23 rating. What’s that Madden thing, anyway? Sounds like some kinda fancy newfangled contraption. They say it’s a game, like them video games the young’uns play all day.
This Dak, he plays for the Dallas Cowboys. I remember them Cowboys. Used to be a big deal, back in the day. My old man, bless his soul, he used to holler at the TV when they played. Seems this Dak fella, he’s the quarterback. Throws the ball, runs around, all that. Important job, I reckon.
Now, this Madden 23 rating, it’s like a score, I guess. How good they think he is. They give him a number. I heard some folks sayin’ it’s 89, other sayin’ it is 85. High number is good, I suppose. Like gettin’ a good price for your hens at the market.
- High number means he’s a good player.
- Low number, well, maybe not so good.
I heard some other names, too. Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes. They got higher numbers than Dak, they say. Must be some good players, too. Football sure has changed since my day. Back then, we just tossed the ol’ pigskin around in the yard. Didn’t need no fancy numbers to tell us who was good.
This Dak Prescott, he’s a big fella, ain’t he? Six foot two, over two hundred pounds. That’s a big boy! Could probably plow a field all by himself. And he’s good at throwin’ the ball far, and runnin’ while he’s throwin’ it, too. That’s what them Madden fellas say, anyway.
They got all these fancy words for it, too. “Deep Throw Accuracy,” “Throw on the Run.” Sounds complicated. Back in my day, we just said he could throw good. They say this Dak is from Mississippi. Must be a strong boy, comin’ from down there.
Then there’s this other fella, CeeDee Lamb, I think they said. He’s a receiver. Catches the ball, I reckon. They gave him a rating, too. Not as high as some other folks. But he must be doin’ alright, made a lot of yards, they say. Over a thousand! That’s a lot of walkin’.
Someone told me they put the rate number on Dak Prescott is 85 in Madden NFL 25, it is a video game, seems popular. It is made by EA Sports.
I heard they talk about other football fellas, too. This Brock Purdy, he plays for the San Francisco team. They gave him an 88 rating in that Madden game. He’s a little shorter than Dak, but still a big fella.
There’s all these numbers they throw around, QBR, passer rating, whatever that means. It sound like a good thing. Sounds like a good thing. And Dak’s numbers, they ain’t the best, but they ain’t the worst neither.
Then there’s this other fella, Tony Romo. Used to play for the Cowboys, too. They say his record was pretty good. And Dak, he’s done even better, they say. Took the team to the playoffs a bunch of times.
This Madden 23, it got everyone all riled up, I tell ya. These young folks, they get so excited about these games. It’s all they talk about.
Well, I reckon that’s all I know about this Dak Prescott Madden 23 rating business. It’s all a bit much for me, if you ask me. But hey, if it makes folks happy, then I guess it’s alright. Just like a good pot of stew on a cold night. Fills you up and makes you feel good. That’s what matters, right?
