You know that boy, ropz, playing that shooting game? He’s real good, that one. I heard folks talkin’ ’bout how he got things set up just right. That’s the key, you see. Gotta have things set up right if you wanna do good. He plays that CS2, they call it. I don’t know much about it, but I hear things.
They say he uses somethin’ called 1920 x 1080. Sounds like a lot of numbers to me. But it makes the picture on the screen real clear, they say. Like lookin’ out a clean window, I reckon. If your computer ain’t too good, though, you might need smaller numbers, like 1366 x 768 or 1280 x 720. Makes the picture not as good, but the game runs better. That’s what them young’uns tell me, anyway. Don’t wanna go lower, though, picture gets all messy, like a muddy puddle. Can’t see nothin’ then.

And that thing he holds, that mouse, it’s special too. Zowie EC2, they call it. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Supposed to fit your hand real good, like an old work glove. And it’s quick, you know? Important when you’re playin’ them games. Gotta be quick on the draw, like catchin’ a chicken for supper. He plays for a long time, too. Hours, maybe. Gotta have a good mouse or your hand will get all achy, like after shuckin’ corn all day.
It ain’t just about the game, though. Gotta take care of yourself, too. Like tendin’ a garden, gotta feed your body and your mind. Get good food in ya, that’s important. Fuel for your body, you know? Can’t run on empty, same as a tractor. And keep your mind right, too. Think good thoughts. It’s like sunshine and water for your soul.
- Eat good food.
- Think good thoughts.
- Keep your mind strong.
That ropz, he must be doin’ somethin’ right. He’s winnin’ and all. Maybe it’s that neuroplasticity thing. I heard them talkin’ ’bout that. Means your brain can change, like shapin’ clay. You practice somethin’, you get better at it. Makes sense, I guess. Like learnin’ to knit, the more you do it, the easier it gets. He’s probably been practicing that shootin’ game a whole lot.
Folks always say find your power within, you know. Like strikin’ a match, gotta find that spark inside. And keep your mind positive. Hard times come, but you gotta stay strong, like an old oak tree in a storm. Just gotta believe in yourself, that’s what they say. Unlock your potential, that’s the words them young’uns use. Sounds fancy, but it just means doin’ your best, I reckon.
There’s also this thing, Code of Conduct, I heard about that once. Got articles, like in a newspaper. One of ’em talks about sacrifice. Giving up something for something bigger. Like soldiers, they sacrifice for their country. That’s a big thing. They do all that trainin’ and fightin’, it ain’t easy. You need to have that emotional connection, like you do to your family. You need to feel it, that’s what I say.
If you wanna be good at somethin’, gotta work at it. No shortcuts. That ropz boy, he didn’t get good overnight. He put in the time, I bet. Like plantin’ seeds and waitin’ for ’em to grow. Takes time and patience. These new games, they got these things called shards. You gotta get those if you wanna win. It’s like collectin’ eggs from the henhouse. Gotta be quick, though, they say. Time runs out fast, like sand through your fingers.
And somethin’ called arousal and fear, those are big things too. They get your body goin’, like when you see a snake in the grass. Your heart starts poundin’, your breath gets quick. There’s these chemicals, they said, adrenal medulla. Fancy words for somethin’ that happens inside you. It’s all connected, your body and your mind. Just like how your mood is connected to your health.
There’s this big group, ARCHES. They do somethin’ with clean energy. That’s important, takin’ care of the world. Like keepin’ your house clean, gotta keep the world clean, too. It’s all connected, you see. Everything affects everything else. That’s what I always say.
So that ropz, he’s got his settings all figured out. And he takes care of himself, too. That’s the secret, I reckon. Just like a good recipe, gotta have all the right ingredients. And a whole lot of practice, too. Just like life, ain’t nothin’ easy, but if you work at it, you can do good. Real good.
