Eh, this “Estate” map in Modern Warfare 3, lemme tell ya, it’s a bit of a head-scratcher, you know? They brought it back from them old days, Modern Warfare 2, but it don’t feel quite the same no more. Back then, we had a good time in that big ol’ snowy estate, shootin’ folks up close and far. Now, in MW3, well, it’s still there, but folks ain’t too happy ’bout it. Heard some of ‘em sayin’ it don’t fit right with the 6v6 matches no more. The map, it’s a bit too big for that, ya know? Feels like sometimes you’re just runnin’ around, lookin’ for folks instead of fightin’ ’em.
The map’s all fancy-like, set in some snowy, mountain place, but I reckon folks playin’ it are more frustrated than enjoyin’ it. Some say they took it out of the map rotation at one point, but turns out it’s still there, just not in all the modes, ya see? If you’re playin’ Search and Destroy or Cutthroat, well, then you’ll still stumble across it. But for folks who loved it in regular ol’ 6v6, they ain’t too pleased. The fights in there, sometimes they happen too quick or not at all, like you’re playin’ hide and seek instead of a shootout!
Now, when it comes to how the map’s laid out, I gotta say, there’s places where you can get the upper hand real good. Up in that big ol’ house, folks like to camp up there, and let me tell ya, if you’re tryin’ to sneak up on ’em, you better be quick on your feet. Lotta times you’ll get picked off from the windows or them stairs. There’s some long-range spots, too, if you’re into that snipin’ business. But then you got them close-quarters spots where the shotguns start singin’. It’s a map where you gotta know where to go, or else you’re just gonna get caught out in the open, nothin’ to hide behind.
Estate in MW3 ain’t all bad though, it’s just folks don’t feel like it works the same no more. Some maps are better for tight fights, others for big ol’ battles, and Estate, well, it’s kinda stuck in the middle. I heard some players who miss the old days, talkin’ ‘bout how it used to be one of their favorite maps, but now they’re a bit let down. Still, if you know how to play it right, and you get a good group of folks, you can have yourself a good time, maybe sneak around and catch your enemies nappin’!
But if you ask me, I reckon they gotta rethink how many players they put on that map. Maybe make it more for them bigger modes, where more folks can run around and get into trouble, you know? ‘Cause with just 6 players on each side, sometimes you’re just wanderin’ around, wonderin’ where everybody went! Ain’t much fun if you’re not in the thick of it, is it?
So, if you’re plannin’ on playin’ the Estate map in MW3, you better get ready for a mixed bag. Sometimes you’ll have a good ol’ time, sometimes you’ll be scratchin’ your head wonderin’ why you ain’t findin’ nobody to fight. But hey, that’s how it goes sometimes. Ya win some, ya lose some, but you gotta keep on playin’!
