Well now, if you ever been playin’ that there Pokémon Go, y’know sometimes you might come across somethin’ strange in them PokéStops. You might see a warnin’ pop up, sayin’ “coiled and ready to strike.” Now don’t go frettin’, that ain’t no big fancy term or nothin’, it’s just a little heads-up to let you know that you’re about to be up against some tough poison-type Pokémon. So, best be ready, ‘cause you gotta fight ‘em off with your own Pokémon team.
Now, let me tell ya, these poison-types can be tricky little devils. But, don’t you worry none, ‘cause there’s a way to handle ‘em! What you need to do is use them psychic-type or ground-type Pokémon. They got the right moves to handle them poison ones, like they got some kind of antidote in their blood. You use your psychic Pokémon and you’ll see them poison-types get knocked down real quick, like a snake in a trap.

But that ain’t all! You gotta be prepared, ‘cause them Grunts, them ones that pop up at the PokéStops, they ain’t always the same. Most of the time, they only throw out one Pokémon, sometimes two, but never more than that. Now, if you’re lucky, you might get a second one from ’em, but don’t count on it. They ain’t gonna throw a third Pokémon at you, no matter how hard you try. Even them leaders, like that Giovanni feller, well, he’ll only send out one Pokémon at a time too. So, don’t be expectin’ no big ol’ fight with a whole bunch of ’em.
Now, if you run into one of them Fighting-type Grunts, well, that’s a different story. You wanna use your Psychic, Fairy, or Flying-type Pokémon for that. You hit ‘em hard, and you’ll see them Fighting-types fall faster than a sack of potatoes off a truck. In that battle, you could catch some good ones like Shadow Timburr, Mankey, or even Machop. Some of ’em might even be shiny, so keep your eyes peeled. But don’t get too excited, ‘cause it ain’t always a guarantee.
And listen here, them Team GO Rocket Grunts, they’re a crafty bunch. When you hear ’em cacklin’ with a “ke ke ke ke,” you know they’re gonna be throwin’ Ghost-types at you. Now, Ghost-types, they’re a tricky breed. You gotta be smart, use your Pokémon that can take ‘em on. But don’t let that scare ya none, ‘cause if you got your right team set up, them Ghost-types won’t know what hit ’em.
Now, here’s somethin’ you should know about them Grunts: they ain’t all the same. There’s a big ol’ list of ‘em, 21 different Grunts, and each one has their own special lineup of Pokémon. It’s kinda like a big ol’ puzzle, and if you figure out what kind of Pokémon they got, you’ll know exactly what to use against ’em. That’ll make you more prepared and ready to strike first!
- For them Poison-types: Bring out your Psychic and Ground Pokémon. They’ll do the trick.
- For Fighting-types: Use Psychic, Fairy, or Flying Pokémon. They can take ’em down easy.
- For Ghost-types: Well, you’ll need to use your Ghost-type counters. They can be tricky, but you can handle ’em.
So, next time you see that “coiled and ready to strike” warning pop up, don’t get all nervous. Just remember what I told ya, and get ready to show them Poison-types what you’re made of. With the right Pokémon and a little know-how, you’ll be takin’ down them Grunts faster than a chicken runnin’ from a fox.
