Now, if ya ever played Mortal Kombat 11, ya know there’s a whole heap of moves that can make or break a fight. There’s no shortage of combos, special moves, and finishers to keep ya on yer toes. I’m here to tell ya ’bout the moves ya gotta know if you wanna stay ahead in this game, and I ain’t gonna be usin’ no fancy language, just plain and simple talk, like we do down home.
Special Moves – now these are the real game changers. Each fighter has their own set, and let me tell ya, they ain’t all the same. Some need a bit of button pressin’ here and there, and others, well, they require somethin’ a little more. But once ya get the hang of it, it’s like second nature. For example, Liu Kang’s Bicycle Kick is one that needs to be AMPLIFIED. That means ya gotta press the right button at the right time, and it’ll pack a real punch.

If you’re playin’ with Liu Kang, don’t forget ‘bout his Flying Kick combo. This one’s a killer when ya chain it with an air fireball. It’s all ‘bout the timing, ya see? Get it right, and ya got yerself a fine combo that can catch the other fighter off guard.
- Liu Kang’s Bicycle Kick: Hold back, forward, and press the punch button. Hit it a few times for more damage.
- Flying Kick Combo: Jump, press forward and punch, and follow up with a fireball into the kick.
Now, there’s also Krushing Blows. These bad boys are like finishers, but you can pull ’em off during the match. They trigger when ya land a certain move, and if ya’ve been practicing, you’ll know just when to use ‘em. These moves hit like a ton of bricks and can turn the tide of a fight in an instant. Some Krushing Blows even need specific setups, like countering an enemy’s attack or hittin’ ‘em from long range.
But don’t be thinkin’ every fighter is the same. Some, like Raiden, he’s got a whole bunch of lightning moves that’ll fry ya if ya don’t watch out. And then ya got folks like Scorpion, with his teleport punch and hellfire moves. Each character brings their own style, and the move list just gets bigger and bigger the more ya learn.
Amplified Moves are another thing ya gotta learn if ya wanna get the edge. Some moves in MK11 can be amplified by pressin’ a button just after the special move is started. This will make the move stronger and more dangerous. But, don’t go spamin’ ‘em, ‘cause it takes a bit o’ your Offensive Gauge, and if ya run out of that, you’re left wide open for an attack.
- Scorpion’s Teleport Punch: Back, forward, and then press the punch button. Amplify it for more damage.
- Raiden’s Lightning Strike: Down, back, and press the special button. Amplify to get an extra zap.
If ya ask me, Mortal Kombat 11’s all ‘bout knowin’ what moves to use and when. Sometimes, it ain’t just the moves themselves, but how fast ya can string ‘em together. And when ya finally get to the Fatality, well, that’s the real fun part. That’s when ya show the other fighter that they’ve been outclassed, and ya finish ‘em off in style. But y’know, we ain’t just about the finishers. No sir, it’s the whole match. Timing, combos, special moves, and knowing yer character like the back of yer hand.
One thing to remember – each fighter has different specials, so ya gotta learn those if ya wanna win. Liu Kang, Scorpion, Raiden, Sonya, they all got their own moves, and some of ‘em can be tricky to pull off. But once ya got the hang of it, well, it’ll feel like second nature.
So go on, practice up! Don’t be discouraged if ya miss a few shots or mess up the combos. It happens to the best of us. Just keep at it, and before ya know it, you’ll be throwin’ Krushing Blows and Amplified Moves like a pro. Remember, it’s all ‘bout findin’ what works best for ya and stickin’ with it. That’s the key to win in Mortal Kombat 11!
