Ah, December bugs, my dear! Now, let’s see what we got flyin’ around in December. You know, in this month bugs ain’t the same everywhere. In the Northern Hemisphere, there’s just about 20 bugs crawlin’ and flyin’ around. And out of those, 3 of ’em just show up fresh in December, like they’s got some holiday plans too!
So, if you’re catchin’ in the North, best remember, come December, ya got some new critters. And what’s good about it, they don’t rush off quick – those bugs hang around till January, bless ’em. Now, if you’re down South, it’s a whole different tale. They got 48 bugs in December, and a good 6 of ’em are new for the month. Seems like they got a bit more goin’ on, doesn’t it?

Now let’s talk details: these bugs, they ain’t all in the same spots or times neither! Some of ‘em just flitter around in the air, and some stick to trees and flowers. Like the Common Butterfly, it’s one of them that just flies around, can be seen from 4 in the mornin’ till 7 in the evenin’, worth about 160 bells. Then ya got the Yellow Butterfly, flappin’ around those same hours, and she’s also about 160 bells. But, if ya want a little more value, look for the Tiger Butterfly, now she’ll get ya 240 bells – still flyin’ the same time though.
Here’s some things to keep in mind:
- Location Matters: Some bugs like to stick to flowers, others prefer flyin’ high up or even lurkin’ around trees. Keep an eye on where you’re lookin’!
- Timing is Key: These bugs, they got their own schedules! Early risers and them that sleep in late, you gotta know when they’re out, else you might miss ‘em!
- Value Check: Not all bugs worth the same. Some give ya a pocketful of bells, others just a little bit, so keep catchin’ if you want that extra bell in your pocket.
Now, don’t go rushin’ off catchin’ everythin’ that flies! Take it easy, take note of them hours, and enjoy the whole catchin’ experience, ya know?
And for them folks who want to fill up that critterpedia for December, be it North or South, there’s a whole variety to catch if ya got patience. All this buggy business – why, it’s as good as gettin’ the laundry out on a sunny day, simple and satisfyin’!
