Alright, guys, so I’ve been grinding hard on NBA 2K24 lately, and let me tell you, that VC (Virtual Currency) life is a struggle. You need it for everything – upgrading your MyPlayer, buying packs in MyTeam, you name it. It’s a constant battle to keep your VC stash healthy. So, I started looking for ways to get, how you say, “economical” with my VC spending, or even get some extra.
My initial approach, and this is going to sound dumb, was just playing the game. A lot. Like, a lot. I figured, more games equal more VC, right? Well, yeah, kinda. The problem is, you earn it so slowly, and you gotta spend it all to upgrade. I was stuck in a rut.

My Experimentation Phase
Then I started experimenting. First, I dived into the MyCareer mode. I focused on getting good teammate grades, achieving milestones, and nailing those endorsement deals. This helped, no doubt. The little boosts from hitting those in-game objectives and signing better contracts definitely added up.
I also started to be very strict with my money. I had no money so I realized that I need to get more. I started watching some videos on Youtube and TikTok for tips. And some folks are making a living from this. But me? I just want to upgrade my player and buy some booster packs.
I also tried some of the daily challenges and stuff. The rewards aren’t huge, but hey, free VC is free VC, right? Every little bit counts when you’re trying to be smart about it.
The “Aha!” Moment (Sort Of)
Honestly, there’s no magic bullet. Grinding is part of the game, and you gotta embrace it to some extent. But I did find that being strategic about how you grind makes a difference. Focusing on high-reward activities, and that’s pretty much it. I started doing some research, and found out that you get more VC if you play on harder difficulties, so, I cranked up the difficulty!
My last tip, and this might be obvious, but avoid unnecessary spending. I was tempted to buy some fancy clothes for my player, but you know what, that doesn’t improve performance. I was just spending more!
Still Learning
So, am I a VC millionaire now? Nope. But am I being smarter about my VC, and stretching it further? Definitely. I’m still learning, and still finding new ways to maximize my earnings. I’ll keep experimenting, and you should too. If you find any awesome strats, let me know.
