Okay, so I’ve been obsessed with Animal Crossing: New Horizons lately, like REALLY obsessed. And you know what? I finally got Katt, the cool cat villager, to move to my island! I wanted to share how it all happened, ’cause it took a bit of work, but it was so worth it.
Finding Katt
First, I had to actually find Katt. I knew she was a possible villager, but getting a specific one can be tricky. So, I started doing a few things:

- Mystery Island Tours: I spent a bunch of Nook Miles Tickets flying to those random islands. Each time, there’s a chance a random villager will be camping there. I just kept going and going, hoping to bump into Katt.
- Campsite: I made sure my campsite was built and kept checking it every single day. Sometimes a random villager will visit, and you can invite them to stay. It’s a waiting game, though.
The Waiting Game…and Success!
Honestly, the Mystery Island Tours were a bust at first. I met a lot of villagers, some cute, some… not so much. But no Katt. I was starting to lose hope! Then, one morning, I checked my campsite, and BAM! There she was, Katt, in all her cool, uchi(sisterly) glory! She was strumming the guitar, so chill.
I talked to her, played a few games (I think I lost most of them, haha), and just kept chatting. Eventually, the option came up to invite her to my island. YES!
Getting Her to Move In
But it wasn’t quite that simple. I already had a full island (10 villagers). So, Katt said she’d talk to Resident Services. Then came the slightly nerve-wracking part.
Katt had to “negotiate” with a current villager to see if they wanted to move out. She randomly chose one of my villagers, I was crossing my fingers it wasn’t one of my favorites!
Luckily, it was a villager I was okay with parting ways with. Phew! If it had been someone I really liked, I would have had to quickly close the game without saving and try again. (Yeah, it’s a bit of a trick, but hey, we all do what we gotta do for our favorite villagers, right?)
Katt’s Home!
After all that, Katt agreed to move in! The next day, the villager she replaced had their house packed up, and the day after that, Katt’s house was built! It felt so good to finally have her on my island.
Now, she’s wandering around, singing, chatting with other villagers, and just being her awesome, cool cat self. It was totally worth the effort. If you’re trying to get a specific villager, don’t give up! Keep trying those Mystery Island Tours, check your campsite, and be persistent. It’ll happen eventually!
