Okay, so I’ve been grinding in Genshin Impact, and I finally decided to check out the Battle Pass weapons. I’ve heard mixed things, some people swear by them, others say they’re not worth it. I figured I’d dive in and see for myself.
First, I opened up the Battle Pass menu. You know, the usual spot, right next to the daily commissions and stuff. I scrolled through the rewards, the usual mix of materials, Mora, and those EXP books. Then, there it was, the Gnostic Hymn section, with the weapons all shiny and tempting.

I already knew, that i need buy Gnostic Hymn.
Choosing My Weapon
- The Black Sword: Looked pretty good for my Keqing, with that Crit Rate stat.
- Serpent Spine: Seemed like a solid option for claymore users, especially if I could keep the stacks up.
- Solar Pearl: This one caught my eye for catalyst users, Ningguang in particular, because of the Normal Attack boost.
- The Viridescent Hunt: A bow with a cool cyclone effect, but I wasn’t sure if it was better than my existing options.
- Deathmatch: A polearm with Crit Rate, always a good stat, but I was already pretty happy with my other polearms.
After a lot of back and forth, I decided to go with the Serpent Spine. I’ve been using Razor a lot lately, and the thought of those extra damage stacks sounded really fun. Plus, that Crit Rate substat is just universally good.
So, I clicked on the Serpent Spine, confirmed my choice, and bam! It was in my inventory. Felt good, like a mini-gacha pull without the Primogem pain.
Putting it to the Test
My Razor felt stronger, which it’s nice. I was able to clear some domains faster than usual, I think I need test it more.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with my decision. The Serpent Spine feels like a solid upgrade, and it’s definitely given my Razor a boost. Is it a game-changer? Maybe not. But it’s a nice, reliable weapon that I can see myself using for a long time. If you’re on the fence about the Battle Pass weapons, I’d say give them a look. You might find something you really like!
