Okay, so I’ve been playing Pokémon Go for a while now, and I’ve always wanted a Typhlosion. It’s just such a cool Pokémon, you know? So, I finally decided to get serious and make it happen. Here’s how it went down.
Step 1: The Hunt for Cyndaquil
First things first, I needed a Cyndaquil. Typhlosion evolves from Quilava, which evolves from Cyndaquil, so that little fire starter was my target. I started by checking all the usual spots – parks, areas near fire stations (seemed fitting, right?), and anywhere that usually spawned fire-type Pokémon.

I spent a good few days just wandering around, catching everything I could, hoping for a Cyndaquil to pop up. Used a bunch of incense too, to increase my chances.
Step 2: Candy Power!
Finally, I caught a Cyndaquil! But one wasn’t gonna cut it. I needed a lot of Cyndaquil candies to evolve it all the way to Typhlosion. So, the grind continued. I walked that Cyndaquil as my buddy, caught every single one I could find, and even used some Rare Candies I had saved up.
- Catch Cyndaquil
- Use Pinap Berries when catching to get more candies.
- Make Cyndaquil your buddy and walk, walk, walk!
Step 3: Evolution Time!
After what felt like forever, I finally had enough candies! First, I evolved my best Cyndaquil into a Quilava. That was exciting, but the real prize was still ahead.
Then, with a deep breath and a tap of the button, I evolved that Quilava… and boom! There it was, my very own Typhlosion! All that walking and catching finally paid off.
It might seem like simple a game, but it requires patient and strategy.
