Okay, so today was all about that Pogo Raid Hour, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a scramble, but a fun one!
Getting Ready (Or Trying To)
First things first, I tried to get prepped. I knew the Raid Hour was happening, so I did a quick check of my Pokemon. Made sure I had some strong counters lined up – you know, the usual stuff. I even charged my portable battery because, let’s be real, PoGo drains your phone like crazy, especially during events like this.

The Rush Begins!
Then, 6 PM hit. Suddenly, it felt like every Gym around me popped a raid egg! It was go-time. I quickly joined a local group chat where people were calling out raids. That’s a lifesaver, seriously. Trying to solo some of these raids is just… not happening.
- Checked the nearby gyms.
- Joined the local raid group.
Raid Train Time
We decided on a meeting spot, and a bunch of us showed up. The first raid? Total chaos in the best way. Everyone’s tapping away, dodging attacks, and hoping for that shiny. We took it down, no problem. Then it was off to the next one, and the next one… We hit as many as we could within the hour. It’s a real adrenaline rush trying to squeeze in as many raids as possible.
The Good, The Bad, and the Laggy
Here’s the thing about Raid Hour: it’s intense. You’re constantly moving, battling, and hoping the game doesn’t crash. I had a couple of moments where my game froze mid-battle. I had to close my app, open it, and get back to join. Luckily I made it!
But hey, that’s part of the experience, right? It wouldn’t be a proper Pogo event without a little bit of server struggle.
The Loot!
In the end, I managed to do about 6 raids. Not too bad! I didn’t catch any shinies, sadly, but I did get some good Pokemon with decent stats. Plus, all that XP and the rewards? Totally worth it.
Overall, Raid Hour is always a blast, even with the occasional hiccup. It’s a great way to get out, meet other players, and snag some powerful Pokemon. Definitely looking forward to the next one!
