Okay, so I’ve been playing a lot of Pokemon lately, and I got into this whole thing about which shiny is cooler, Vileplume or Bellossom. They both evolve from Gloom, right? So it’s a fair comparison. I mean, they’re both grass types, so I figured I’d dive in and see which one I liked better, focusing on the shiny versions because, let’s be real, shiny Pokemon are just cooler.
My Shiny Hunt Begins
First, I started by catching a bunch of Oddish. Gotta get that Oddish candy, you know? After a good while of running around in the grass, I finally had enough to evolve a few into Gloom. My thinking was, evolve a couple, see which shiny I liked better on its pre-evolved form, and then go from there. It’s all about strategy, right?

After evolving, I had my Gloom. Now, the big decision: Sun Stone for Bellossom or just straight up evolve to Vileplume?
I did some checking, compare their look to what I thought. Then I remembered, the internet is a thing!
Comparing the Two
Turns out, from what I was seeing online, Vileplume is generally considered the stronger choice. Here’s why:
- Better Stats: It just has better overall stats, which is a big deal.
- Higher CP: This means it can get stronger overall.
- Fewer Weaknesses: Always a plus in battles.
- Better Resistances: Makes it tougher to take down.
- Dual-Typing: The grass and poison combo gives it some extra oomph.
Making My Decision… and Evolving!
So, I took all that into account. I looked at both shiny Gloom, imagined them as their final forms, and… I went with Vileplume. The internet wasn’t * dual-typing, the stats, it all just made sense. Plus, honestly, I just liked the look of shiny Vileplume better. That deep purple flower? Awesome.
I popped the evolution, and boom! Shiny Vileplume. It looked great. Super happy with my choice. No regrets at all. Bellossom is cute, sure, but Vileplume just has that extra edge, you know? It’s all about that combination of looks and power.
Anyway, that’s my little Pokemon adventure for the day. Gotta catch ’em all, and gotta catch the best shinies, right?
