Alright, guys, so today I decided to figure out how to request a trade in Road to the Show in MLB The Show. I’ve been playing this mode for a while, and I felt like it was time for a change of scenery for my player. Let’s dive into how I got it done.
Starting the Process
First things first, I loaded up my Road to the Show save file. My player was doing pretty well, but I just wasn’t feeling the team anymore. I wanted to see if I could force a move to a contender. I’ve got my eyes on the prize, after all, which is the champion.
Once my game loaded, I went straight to the “My Player” menu. I was looking around for some kind of option that screamed “trade me,” but it wasn’t that obvious. I poked around in the menus for a bit, checking out my player’s stats, morale, and all that stuff. Nothing stood out.
Digging Deeper
Then I remembered seeing something about interacting with my agent. I went to the “My Ballplayer” menu, then looked for an option related to my representation. I am not sure where I found that, but I remenber I need to talk with my agent. So I jumped between many different menus and sub-menus.
Talking to My Agent
Bingo! I think that I selected “Agent”. It pulled up a screen where I could chat with him. There were a few different dialogue options, and you know I went straight for the one that said something like, “I want to be traded.”
My agent gave me the usual spiel about considering my options and making sure it was the right move. I told him, “Yeah, yeah, I know what I’m doing. Just get me out of here!” (Or something to that effect – I was paraphrasing in my head, of course.)
Waiting for the Trade
After that conversation, it was a waiting game. I played a few more games with my current team, grinding it out while hoping for some news. And I had to simulate a game by one game. Finally, after a few in-game days, I got a notification: I had been traded! My agent comes up and told me some team is intersted in me and asked me whether I would like to be traded. Of cause Yes!
The Result
I was stoked! My player was headed to a new team, one that I felt had a better shot at winning it all. It was a bit of a process to find the right menu and trigger the trade request, but totally worth it in the end.
So, if you’re feeling stuck on your current team in Road to the Show, don’t be afraid to explore the menus and talk to your agent. You might just end up on a championship-caliber team!
