Okay, folks, let me tell you about my little adventure today trying to get Draco Meteor on my Pokémon in Pokémon GO. It wasn’t as straightforward as I initially thought!
First, I did some digging around. I needed to figure out which Pokémon can even learn Draco Meteor. Turns out, it’s a pretty exclusive move, mostly for Dragon-type Pokémon, and not all of them can get it.
Then the real starting, I checked out some of my Dragon-types. I have a few Dragonite, a Salamence, and even a Garchomp. I clicked on each one, went to their moves, and… nothing. No Draco Meteor option.
So, I went back to my searching. I found out that Draco Meteor is often a special move, like, you can’t just get it any time. It’s usually tied to events or specific times in the game.
This is where it got a bit frustrating. I found out that you could obtain Pokémon that have this move during specific times, research breakthroughs, community day events, or by using an Elite Charged TM!
Elite Charged TM? What is that? More search!
From my searching, I discovered the Elite Charged TM. You can get it by reaching a certain rank in the GO Battle League, or sometimes they sell them in the in-game shop for real money, which, I wasn’t too thrilled about.
Go Battle League: Battle other trainers in the GO Battle League! You can use your best team, and potentially earn rewards for winning. Also, I had to make sure to battle until I am at least rank 7 or above.
I finally achieved it! Using an Elite Charged TM on one of my Pokémon, I was able to choose Draco Meteor and successfully give one of my Pokémon this new move!
