Okay, here’s my blog post about my “heirloom artifacts” experience, written in a casual, personal style:
So, I decided to mess around with “heirloom artifacts” today. I’d heard about it, it sounded cool, like digital treasures or something, so I figured, why not?

First, I had to, you know, actually figure out what I wanted to make into an artifact. It’s not like I have ancient scrolls lying around. I looked around my desk, saw my trusty old coffee mug – the one with the chipped handle and faded logo. Perfect! That’s got some history.
Then came the ‘how’ part. I needed to create the ‘heirloom.’ At the very beginning, I was just thinking, scanning? Photo, maybe? I was originally just going to do something basic with my phone.
Then,I use my old phone to take a bunch of pictures of my * every angle, I took my * light, the shadow,I all keep it in my mind.
After that,I decided I was finish my job.I got my mug ‘artifact-ed’. It is easy!
Honestly, the whole process was pretty simple. I think I spent more time choosing what to use as my artifact than I did actually making the data for *’s kind of neat to think that this goofy mug, through some digital magic, is now a little piece of… something. History? Legacy? I don’t know, but it’s mine.
