Okay, so I wanted to figure out the absolute best moves for my Typhlosion. You know, really make him a powerhouse. I started digging around, and here’s what I did.
My Typhlosion Experiment
First, I fired up the game and looked at Typhlosion’s possible moves. I saw a bunch of options, but I needed to narrow it down. I remembered reading somewhere that some moves get a bonus because they match the Pokemon’s type – that “Same Type Attack Bonus” thing. Sounds good, right? 20% extra damage is a big deal!

Then I started testing. I used Typhlosion in a few Gym battles, trying out different combinations. I quickly realized that just picking moves at random wasn’t going to cut it. I needed a more systematic approach.
- I focused on moves that were Fire-type, to get that sweet bonus damage.
- I paid attention to how much damage each move was doing, and how quickly it charged up.
- I jotted down some notes. Yeah, real high-tech, I know!
After a bunch of battles, I started to see a pattern. Incinerate, as a fast move, seemed to be doing pretty consistent damage. And then for the charged move? Blast Burn was just crushing it. It took a while to charge, but when it hit, it hit.
I compared this combo to some of the other moves, like Flamethrower and Overheat. And honestly? Incinerate and Blast Burn just felt better. The damage output was noticeably higher, and that’s what really matters, isn’t it?
So, after all that experimenting, I’m pretty confident in saying that, for my Typhlosion, Incinerate and Blast Burn are the way to go. He’s wiping the floor with other Pokemon in Gyms, and I’m even having some success in PvP battles. Of course, your mileage may vary, but I’d definitely recommend giving this combo a shot!
