Okay, so I’ve been grinding a lot of Warzone lately, and let me tell you, the recent nerfs have really shaken things up. I wanted to share my experience with the changes and how I’ve adapted.
First off, I jumped into a few Plunder matches to get a feel for the weapon adjustments without the pressure of the shrinking circle. I immediately noticed the difference with some of my go-to guns.

Experimenting with Loadouts
- My trusty SMG, which used to absolutely shred at close range, felt noticeably weaker. I found myself losing gunfights I would normally win. I think that it’s damage was weaken.
- I also tried out a few assault rifles that had been nerfed. The recoil on some of them seemed much harder to control, especially at longer ranges.
After getting my butt kicked a few times, I realized I needed to change up my strategy. So I headed into the Gunsmith.
I spent a good hour tweaking my loadouts, experimenting with different attachments to compensate for the nerfs. I focused on attachments that improved recoil control and damage range, trying to find a new balance.
Adapting My Playstyle
It wasn’t just about changing my guns, though. I also had to adjust the way I played. Because my favorite tools are weaked.
- I started playing a bit more cautiously, avoiding those close-quarters engagements where my nerfed SMG would put me at a disadvantage.
- I focused more on positioning and using cover, trying to take fights at ranges where my adjusted assault rifles would be more effective.
It took a few games, but I gradually started to get the hang of things. I found some new favorite weapons and loadouts that worked well with the updated balance. I even managed to snag a few wins!
Overall, the nerfs definitely made Warzone feel different. It was frustrating at first, but I actually enjoyed the challenge of adapting and finding new ways to play. It’s like I discovered a new game in old one!
