Okay, so I’ve been messing around with F1 24, trying to get a decent setup for the Qatar track. It’s a tricky one, lots of medium and high-speed corners, but you also need good straight-line speed.
My Starting Point
I started with the default balanced preset, you know, the one the game gives you. It was okay, but the car felt sluggish in the corners and I was getting killed on the straights. Not good enough.

Tweaking the Aero
First thing I did was fiddle with the wings. I reduced the front wing a bit and increased the rear. My thinking was, less front downforce would help with top speed, and more rear downforce would give me better stability in those fast, sweeping turns. I started by trying a 15 front and around 22 on the rear wing.
Suspension Geometry
- Camber: I went pretty much full negative with the camber.
- Toe: The default toe was okay I moved the front camber a bit.
Suspension Adjustments
This is where I spent most of my time. I softened the front suspension and anti-roll bars a little, hoping to get the car to rotate better into the corners. Then, I stiffened the rear suspension and anti-roll bars to keep the back end planted. I’m still playing around with the ride height, trying to find that sweet spot between low drag and avoiding bottoming out on the kerbs.
Brakes and Transmission
I’m still experimenting with the brake bias. I usually favor a slightly rearward bias, like around 55-57%, but I’m not 100% sure on this track yet. I usually leave the Differential around 60 to 70.
The Result (So Far)
It’s definitely better than where I started! The car feels more responsive in the corners, and I’m not losing as much time on the straights. But it’s still a work in progress. I think I need to spend more time fine-tuning the suspension to really nail the handling. I am still getting passed up at the end of the straight by some faster cars. But it is a process that takes time to dial in.
