Alright, so I wanted to dive into the Campaigns in ESO, and let me tell you, it was a journey. First, I logged into the game, obviously. Then, I opened up the Alliance War menu—you know, the one with the little crossed swords icon.
Figuring Out the Options
Once I was in, I saw a bunch of different campaigns listed. Some were labeled “7-Day,” others “30-Day,” and there were even a couple with weird names and no scoring. Honestly, it was a little overwhelming at first. I spent a good few minutes just scrolling through and reading the descriptions. I clicked on each one to get a better sense of what was what.

Picking a Campaign and Jumping In
I decided to go with a 7-Day CP Campaign, figuring a shorter commitment would be good for a first-timer. I hit the “Enter Campaign” button and waited for it to load. There was a bit of a queue, but nothing too crazy. I use that time to make another cup of coffee.
The Battlefield Experience
Once I was in, boom!—I was in Cyrodiil. I opened up my map and saw all these keeps and outposts, some controlled by my alliance, others by enemies. I started running towards the nearest battle I could find, which took a little while because, well, Cyrodiil is huge.
I joined a group that was already fighting at a keep. It was chaotic, with siege weapons firing, players running around casting spells, and everyone yelling in voice chat. I’ll be honest, I died…a lot. But I also managed to take down a few enemy players, which felt pretty good!
Learning the Ropes (and Earning Points)
I spent the next few hours just running around with the group, capturing keeps, defending resources, and generally trying to stay alive. I slowly started to figure out how to earn Alliance Points, like by killing players, completing quests, and capturing stuff.
- Joined a 7-Day CP Campaign.
- Ran around Cyrodiil (it’s massive!).
- Joined a group and fought at a keep.
- Died a lot (but had fun!).
- Started earning Alliance Points.
Overall, it was a pretty intense but fun experience. There’s a lot to learn, but I definitely plan to keep playing and get better at it. My campaign is going for next few days. I check it out daily. Maybe I’ll even become a PvP pro someday… who knows.
