Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Minecraft skins lately, and I wanted to get that Among Us vibe going. You know, those little crewmates running around, looking all sus. I figured it’d be fun to try and make one myself. Here’s how it went down:
Finding a Base
First things first, I needed a basic template. I didn’t want to start completely from scratch, drawing every single pixel. I thought that was way too much work. So I just searched around until I found a plain, simple skin to work with.

Picking Colors
Next up, the colors. I wanted to go for the classic red crewmate look. It’s iconic, right? So I grabbed a color picker tool.
The Details
This is where it got a little tricky. I mean, crewmates are pretty simple, but getting that rounded shape and the visor just right took some fiddling. I spent some time, playing with different shades of gray and white to make the visor look like it had some depth. I probably spent too long on this, but hey, I wanted it to look good.
- The Body: I started by filling in the body with that bright red. It was super easy, just a few clicks with the fill tool.
- The Backpack:The backpack, needed to be a slightly darker shade of red to give it some dimension.
Testing it Out
After I thought I had everything looking decent in the editor, it was time to see it in action. I saved the skin file. Then, I opened up Minecraft, went to the skins section, and loaded it up. Seeing my little red crewmate running around my world was pretty cool. I had to make a few minor adjustments after seeing it in-game, some of the colors looked a bit off, but that was a quick fix.
Honestly, the whole process was more fun than I expected. It’s kinda satisfying to see something you made yourself, even if it’s just a silly little character skin, running around in a game you love. I can’t believe that I had such success with this one. Might try making a few more in different colors!
