Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into Pokemon Go lately, and I really wanted to get my hands on an Alolan Persian. It just looks so cool, you know? So I started doing some digging to figure out the best way to actually get one.
Figuring Out the Basics
First things first, I needed to understand how to even encounter one. It’s not like they’re just roaming around everywhere.
- I found out that Alolan Persian evolves from Alolan Meowth. That was key! No use looking for Persian in the wild.
- Then I learned that Alolan Meowth only hatches from 7km eggs. Those purple ones, not the regular green or orange ones. That was some serious info.
With that basic knowledge, I started planning.
The Egg Hatching Marathon
The next step was, well, acquire a whole bunch of 7km eggs. This was gonna be a long process, I realized.
I made sure my Pokemon storage and Egg storage have enough space.
I started by cleaning up my bag since I did not have enough spaces for new eggs.I threw out all of my Razz Berries, most of my Pinap Berries and Nanab Berries, and some of my basic Poke Balls.I’m aiming for Great Balls and Ultra Balls to catch Pokemon.
- Gifts are Gold:I hit up all my friends in the game and made sure to open all the gifts. This is important, cause 7km eggs only come from gifts.
- Spin, Spin, Spin: I spent a ton of time spinning PokeStops to try and get more gifts to send and to keep my item bag stocked.
- Incubate and Walk: I put those 7km eggs into incubators ASAP. I used my free, infinite incubator first, of course. Then I just…walked. A lot. To work, to the store, around the block. My phone’s step counter definitely got a workout!
The Waiting Game…and Finally!
It took a while, honestly. I went through a ton of 7km eggs. I hatched a lot of other Alolan Pokemon – which was cool – but still no Alolan Meowth. It was kinda frustrating, but I kept at it. Finally after at least 10 eggs (it’s a bit of a blur now), I saw that familiar Meowth silhouette pop up on the hatching screen!
I ended up getting 2 Alolan Meowths. One is 2 stars and the other is a shocking 3 stars! I decided to evolve my 3 stars Alolan Meowth.
I tapped on the Evolve button and…there it was! My very own Alolan Persian. It was totally worth the effort. I even had enough Meowth candy after all that hatching to evolve it right away.
It’s not the strongest Pokemon ever, but I think it’s awesome. Plus, the whole process of getting it was a fun little adventure in itself.
