Okay, so I’ve been grinding away at Madden 24, and I really wanted to beef up my Ultimate Team. I had my eye on those shiny Platinum Players, you know, the ones that can really change the game. Here’s how I went about getting them, and it was a bit of a journey, let me tell you!
The Hunt Begins
First, I had to figure out exactly how to even get these Platinum guys. I knew they weren’t just going to magically appear in my packs (though I wished they would!). I did some digging around the menus, and I found out it’s mainly through sets.

The Set Struggle
So, it’s all about completing those sets. Most of these Platinum Player sets required a bunch of lower-rated Elite players, and I’m talking a lot of them. This is where the real work began. I started ripping open as many packs as I could, hoping to get lucky. Mostly, I was getting a mix of Gold and some Elite players, but far fewer Elites than I needed.
Auction House Action
The Auction House became my best friend. I spent a ton of time there, trying to snipe some deals on Elite players. It was a real grind, constantly refreshing, trying to outbid other people. I learned to be patient and not overspend, because those coins are precious!
- Tip 1: I looked for players during off-peak hours. Sometimes you can snag a deal when fewer people are online.
- Tip 2: I focused on sets I could realistically complete. Going for the very top Platinum Player right away was probably a bad idea, so I started with some of the lower-overall ones.
- Tip 3: I learned every set player’s average price, and search that players below that price.
Completing the Sets
Slowly but surely, I started accumulating the required Elite players. Finally, I had enough to complete my first Platinum Player set! It was a great feeling, hitting that “Complete Set” button and seeing that Platinum card pop up. I put that to my team immediately.
Rinse and Repeat
From there, it was basically rinse and repeat. I kept grinding, opening packs, working the Auction House, and slowly completing more sets. It took time, it took patience, and it took a whole lot of coin management, but I eventually built up a pretty solid collection of Platinum Players. My team is for sure good now!
So, that’s my story. It’s not easy, but it’s definitely doable. Good luck to anyone else out there trying to get those Platinum Players!
