Okay, here’s my blog post about “Animals in January”, written from my personal experience, in a casual, conversational style, using basic HTML tags:
So, I got this idea to document all the animals I see in January. Sounds simple, right? Well, it turned out to be a bit more involved than I thought!

Getting Started
First, I grabbed a notebook and pen. Old school, I know, but I like having a physical record. I decided I would jot down every animal I spotted, along with the date, time, and location. I also took my phone with me to snap pictures whenever possible.
The Daily Grind
- Day 1: Mostly squirrels. Lots and lots of squirrels. And a few pigeons. Nothing too exciting.
- Day 3: I saw a robin! It was quite exciting, and I never knew I could see them in January.
- Day 5: I went for a walk in the park. Saw a couple of dogs (with their owners, of course), a few more squirrels, and…wait for it…a CAT! A stray, I think. It was pretty skittish.
- Day 10:I found myself driving more that day.I saw some cows and hourse.
- Day 15: My friend showed me their pet. It was a rabbit.
- Day 22: Still those squirrels. I started to name every squirrel I met.
I continued this routine throughout the entire month. Most days were pretty routine – squirrels, birds, the occasional domestic animal. There were a few surprises, though.
The Unexpected
One afternoon, I was walking home from work and saw a deer! Right there, in the middle of a small patch of woods near the road. I couldn’t believe my eyes! I quickly grabbed my phone and managed to get a blurry photo before it bounded away. The photo is not great, but the memory is awesome.
Wrapping Up
By the end of January, my notebook was filled with entries. It wasn’t the most scientific study ever, but it was a fun way to pay more attention to the animal life around me, even in the middle of winter. I realized there’s more going on than you might think, even when it’s cold and gray outside. If you are looking for something fun, try to do it, and you will have fun!
