Okay, so today I decided to jump back into Pokemon Go and tackle the Reshiram raids. Gotta say, it was a bit of a rollercoaster!
Getting Started
First thing I did was check out the local Pokemon Go groups online. I wanted to see if anyone was organizing raids, because let’s be honest, taking down a Reshiram solo is pretty much impossible. Thankfully, I found a group planning to meet up at a popular gym downtown.

The Prep Work
Before heading out, I powered up my best counters. I’m talking about my strongest Rock-types – a bunch of Rhyperior and Tyranitar. I also made sure I had a good stock of Revives and Potions, because you know those legendary Pokemon hit hard.

- Tyranitar with Smack Down and Stone Edge
The Battle
We had a decent-sized group, maybe like 10 people, which was a good start. When the raid started, everyone just jumped in and started hammering away at Reshiram. I threw in my Rhyperior first, and it did okay, but man, Reshiram’s Overheat is brutal! It knocked out my poor Rhyperior pretty quick.
I cycled through my other Rock-types, dodging as much as I could, but Reshiram was just relentless. I went through a good chunk of my Revives and Potions, that’s for sure.
Victory (Finally!)
After a pretty intense battle, we finally managed to take Reshiram down! It was close, though. There were only a few seconds left on the clock when it finally fainted. Everyone was cheering, and it felt pretty awesome to be part of that.
Catching Reshiram
Then came the nerve-wracking part – trying to catch it! I used Golden Razz Berries and tried my best with curveball throws. It broke out of the first few Premier Balls, and I was starting to sweat a little. But finally, on the fifth or sixth throw, I got it! What a relief.
Final Thoughts
All in all, it was a super fun experience. A little stressful at times, but definitely worth it. Teaming up with other players is what makes these legendary raids so cool. If you’re thinking about trying to take on Reshiram, I’d say definitely go for it, but make sure you have some strong Rock-type and maybe Ground-type Pokemon, and try to find a group to raid with. Good luck!
