Okay, so, I’ve been trying to get around some, uh, restrictions lately. You know, the kind that keep you from seeing certain, shall we say, artistic content. Specifically, I was messing around with Rule 34, and trying to see if I could, well, unblock it.
First, I tried the obvious stuff. You know, just typing in the address. Nope. Blocked. Big surprise.

Then I started poking around with different browsers. I tried Chrome, that was a no-go. Firefox, same deal. I even dusted off that old Edge browser, thinking maybe, just maybe… but nope. Still blocked.
Next, I figured I’d get a little more technical. I went into my network settings. Fiddled with the DNS. Tried using Google’s public DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). Nothing. Still staring at that stupid “blocked” page.
I even started looking into, um, alternative ways to access the site. You know, those things that kinda reroute your traffic. Yeah, those. I’m not gonna name names, but let’s just say I tried a few of the popular ones. Played around with the settings, connected to different servers… and… drumroll… success!
The Breakthrouth
I finally got it to load! It wasn’t pretty, mind you. The connection was kinda slow, and sometimes images wouldn’t load properly, but hey, it was working! I was in!
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure in trying to unblock Rule 34. Took a bit of messing around, but I eventually figured it out. Not sure if I’d recommend it, though. It can be a bit of a hassle, and, you know, there are reasons why things are blocked in the first place. But hey, I’m a curious guy. What can I say?
I documented my steps, below:
- Tried to directly enter it.
- Tried to use a different browser.
- Tried to change the DNS.
- Tried to use a, um, alternative methods.
- Finally Succeeded!
