Alright, folks, let’s dive into something I messed around with recently in MLB The Show: figuring out how to request a trade. It’s not super obvious, so I figured I’d share my stumbling-through-it process.
Getting Started
First things first, I jumped into my “Road to the Show” career. You know, where you create your player and try to make it to the big leagues. I’d been grinding away with my pitcher for a while, and honestly, I was getting a little tired of my team. Time for a change of scenery, I thought.

Finding the (Hidden) Option
So, I started poking around in the menus. I checked my player profile, contract details, everything that seemed remotely logical. Nothing. I was starting to think it wasn’t even possible. But then, after a bit more digging, I found it.
It is My Ballplayer, then I could see “REQUEST TRADE” option.
Making the Request
You can see all the team that are intrested with you. Pick the team that you want!
The Waiting Game
After I put in the request, I played a few more games, simulated a week, and…bam! Got the notification that my trade request was accepted. It was pretty smooth, actually. I didn’t have to wait around forever.
My Two Cents
Honestly, the whole process is a little bit hidden, but it’s not rocket science once you find the right spot. Don’t get discouraged if your request doesn’t get granted right away. Just keep playing, and eventually, you should get the move you’re looking for.
It might take a few tries to get what you want. The team has to want you, too, you know? Just Keep doing the same thing that I did. Good luck, have fun, and hopefully, this helps you get to a team you actually want to play for!
